Summary: Don't believe the fancy photos, this is a (bad and sad) joke, not a hotel. I have been to countless hotels, motels, apartments and even dormitories of varying luxury levels (including 4 other accommodations in Kenya), but none of them have failed to provide the most basic thing you would expect from every accommodation - a dry roof over your head. Blixen Resort & Spa managed to hit a new low by failing exactly this. During our first night I woke up in middle of night because it was raining and cold water was dripping straight on my face. The ceiling of our room was leaking exactly above the bed.
Not to mention all the other things lacking in our room, compared to the photos: Some windows that cannot be closed + no mosquito net above bed = lots of mosquitoes No enclosure around the shower = bathroom floor is a pool after shower Towel rack came loose from the wall, because it was not properly fastened at one end Countless other small stuff like spiderwebs in ceiling, peeling paint everywhere, shower water temperature randomly fluctuating between cold and too hot, etc
They gave us another room after complaining, which seemed a bit better, until we found out that the toilet didn't flush. The staff promised to fix it, but never did so we had to manually open the toilet water tank and push down some stuck plastic piece to make it fill again every time after using the toilet. :D
Sad, really, because I'm sure these were very nice and fancy buildings before whatever dumb new owners took over who don't know how to properly maintain and renovate beautiful...

The bathroom was not very practical and definitely a bit in need of renovation. The shower in the bathtub was hot when there was electricity which was a bit random. Ordering and getting coffee was an adventure that easily took 30 min. The food was ok, but nothing special. Getting to Nairobi from here is a bit...
