Pumbaa Farmhouse & Cottages — Hotel in Nairobi

This was my first time traveling to Africa (I'm a woman who traveled solo) and I started my trip staying at the Pumbaa Farmhouse and Cottages before a safari. Before I traveled, Bev was extremely helpful and communicative and answered my many questions. She and her husband Iby are the friendliest, most delightful hosts one could hope for. I LOVED the grounds, my cottage, and the peacefulness and beauty of this property. The breakfast was so delicious delivered at your desired time, there were lovely amenities, the cottage was beautiful and looked just like the photos -- it could not have been a better introduction to this wonderful country. Pumbaa is close to the Giraffe Center, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Karen Blixen Museum and more. It was easy and fast to get an Uber, yet the property feels remote and so private. If I ever return to Kenya, I will absolutely stay here again. I don't often write reviews, but Bev and Iby deserve a solid...

Pumbaa farmhouse and cottages is the perfect home away from home ....beautiful lush green grounds with specks of colour here and there radiating from the diverse collection of plants....the early morning sounds of the birds is uplifting...the cottage 4 is exquisite and very comfortable...the peace and serenity of the whole place is rejuvenating ...staff are friendly and very attentive to detail and offer personalised service ....and Iby and Beverley are very welcoming.
