We stayed at the hotel while visiting Karatina. For a rural Kenyan hotel it was nice, but average in every respect. Reception and restaurant staff were inexperienced and poorly trained. Cleaning staff were friendly. Food was average. No lift, we were on the 3rd floor, had to drag our luggage up and down. Amenities were nice, (exercise room, sauna pool) all included. We used the conference room which worked for what we needed (no charge). Place was clean considering it was raining a lot, so much mud. Room we had was small, for 2 people, but adequate. For a couple I would recommend paying extra and getting a bigger room. Bathroom was clean. Would stay again if...

Apart from negative reviews from some of the visitors, I think the management has tried its best to make the customers comfortable..some may agree with me that this facility is 100x better than this complainants homes...nobody has to be rude to a customer or the waiters..on the other hand waiters need to be trained patience and a customer service and satisfaction desk set up for feedback...and remember..the experience is good...the management needs to review its employees knowledge level and not just their academic prowess in Catering or so,Training..||Keep...
Read moreThe fact that this hotel is a hospitality institute is laughable. We went there today and received no service. The waitress walked passed us a couple of times, without even a hello. The decor is subpar and you'll be greeted by broken tiles at the entrance (not staff, because they are not there to work). We left because they were clearly not interested in our patronage. We complained to the lady at the reception who didn't even offer an apology - just a blank dazed look. We went to another restaurant and received service within the first 2 minutes of arrival.
