This Hotel Needs a Refresh Folks, I've been coming to this hotel for over seven years now, and let me tell you, it's like watching a once a great athlete slowly lose their game. It pains me to say this, because the view of the Chania waterfall and the gardens dining area are Pure magic. Seriously, breathtaking stuff. Perfect for kicking back and relaxing. But here's the rub, everything else seems to be on a steady downward slide. Broken stuff, missing amenities, missing food on the Menu. it's like they're forgetting what hospitality means. The walkways, for instance, are a total disaster zone. The location on the Thika-Nyeri Highway is undeniably convenient for Bathroom Breaks stopovers or a quick cup of Chai. But even for a stop, some basic upkeep is essential, right? Overall, this place is a mixed bag. Stunning scenery and gardens dining area can't quite make up for the constant letdowns. If you're looking for a party spot with a killer view, it might still work. But if you're expecting a well-maintained hotel experience, you might want to adjust your expectations. Location: Great for party Breaks on the Thika-Nyeri Highway. Views: Breathtaking. Seriously, go for the Chania waterfall and gardens. Very relaxing. Service & Amenities: Needs serious improvement. Would I recommend it? Depends on what you're looking for. For a scenic party base, baby shower spot maybe. For a relaxing hotel experience, probably not.

The service I experienced was really disappointing, especially for such a well-known place. To start, I waited at the restaurant for nearly 20 minutes before the waiter came over, and that was only because I had to call her—otherwise, I doubt she would’ve shown up. She told us the food would take about an hour, so instead of waiting around, we had to walk around to pass the time. When we came back to check on our order, she had completely forgotten about it and treated us like we were placing a new order. The food wasn’t anything special, but at least it satisfied our hunger. On top of that, they charged us 450 to get close to the waterfall, even though the entrance fee was only 150, which seemed reasonable. Maybe it was just a bad day, but if their service is always like this, I wouldn’t recommend going there—it's really poor.

This place is so nice and breath taking. The view of the water falls, they are actually two separate water fall point, the sound of the water and the smell or the feel of the water droplets can never be experience through any camera or video. One has to be here in person. The place also serves food, has ample parking, accommodation, bar with various alcohol brands, curio shops, a small pond with a boat for hand paddling, barber shop and saloon, nice garden are good for family time and budding couples. Also a good place for children to experience outdoor moments after school. Also informed they have animals as well. You do not have to pay to enter the but there are fees to get to the water fall, to see animals and to do a park trek. Try this place! 😊

A three star restaurant rating with a one star service experience. The waiters are extremely negligent and slow...you literally have to beg them to serve you. They are also kinda racist cause they serve white and Asian people before you smh🤦🏾‍♀️😂...But at least the food is good-ish. Overall disappointed with the experience. Had to go and see the animals and waterfalls to calm down. And don't even get me started on the music...the inhouse band if we can call it that. Loud and only sings Kikuyu songs...I have nothing against that but this is a tourist restaurant with people from all over the country and even the world...it should be diverse. The toilets are dirty, stinky, and not baby friendly at all. Honestly, the more I type the angrier I get so...
