Happy Nomad Yurt was our very first experience staying in a traditional yurt, and it was such a memorable one! We booked online after seeing their great reviews, and they truly lived up to the praise.

This is a small, family-run place, beautifully maintained by the owner, his wife, and his mother. We stayed in a yurt-style room with 5 beds and an attached washroom. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and to our surprise, the washroom even had a Muslim shower—it was neat and tidy, which I really appreciated.

We arrived at night while it was raining, tired from continuous travel. The owner welcomed us warmly, and when we didn’t have the energy to go out for dinner, he kindly arranged hot water and opened the mess sitting area so we could enjoy our instant noodles. It was late, and they had already left for the night, but we just closed up after finishing and headed back to our room.

The next morning, they served a simple but fresh homemade breakfast—fried eggs, bread, butter, and muffins. Not a big variety, but everything was delicious and felt like home. The greenery around the property makes it a peaceful, relaxing spot.

We only stayed for one night before continuing our travels, so we didn’t get to explore much, but I can say it’s a cute, calm, and welcoming place to stay if you’re looking for a traditional...

This was my first time sleeping in a yurt and it was a lovely experience. This was a very clean place, with nice and modern yurts and it was a perfect place to experience a yurt for the first time. The owner and his family were super nice and helpful and he spoke English, which was very helpful. ||||My boyfriend and I are vegan and they prepared us a nice vegan breakfast, which was very nice and tasty. ||||The beds in the yurt were SO comfortable and there were enough blankets to stay warm in the night. The bathrooms and showers were a short walk away and were very clean as well. ||||There was a nice common area, with lots of space and comfy places to sit, which was fantastic for us to work! ||||I highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a really cool yurt experience...

Great stay in a lovely traditional yurt located in a beautiful garden just on the outskirts of Karakol. The owner and his lovely family were super friendly and so helpful and supportive with everything, they gave us tips and suggestions where to eat and what to do in Karakol. The owner's wife prepared delicious breakfast every morning that we enjoyed having in their beautiful conservatory. The Yurt itself was very clean and comfortable and had plenty of power sockets. The toilets and showers were modern and clean. The owners spoke good English, which we found very helpful. Was one of our favourite stays in Kyrgyzstan and couldn't recommend this gem more highly!

We stayed for two days, went hiking and came back for two more days. Our yurt was really nice and clean, good beds, good showers, western toilet. Breakfast was really good as well, with fresh omelette. The owner gave us all the information (in near perfect English) we needed about which hikes we could do, what the conditions were and offered to make reservations for us where needed. Really helpfull and nice person (same goes for the rest of the family) Feels like a warm home ☺️ 10/10 - definitely recommended
