One of the most beautiful and warm-hearted places in Latvia. A castle-like manor house cherished for generations and run by a fantastic family. Cleanliness at the highest level, very nice rooms, friendly prices, quality and well equipped kitchen for shared use, delicious coffee, spacious, beautiful and very beautiful surroundings.|Quiet, comfort, privacy. For larger families or for one, there are a variety of options.|All the classics in a romantic style.|The atmosphere is also peaceful with beautiful and quiet music in the background.|A fantastic place where you will definitely want to come back again and again.||For catering: |There is a spacious and well-equipped kitchen for shared use, where meals can be prepared and products can be stored. |But if you don't want to cook, there is a tavern with a home kitchen about 500m away, open 24/7, and Cēsis is not far away. Clean, great location and plenty to keep the kids occupied. Ideal for families.||We arrived and the place was very clean with beautiful surrounds.|The hosts were friendly and helpful. Tho the place was advertised as having a pool the pool was out of service. however there is a small lake in which you can swim with a floating pontoon, the kids enjoyed cooling down in the heat and playing with toys(provided by the host).|There is a shared kitchen(hostel style) where you can store items in the fridge to make lunch and store from drinks. The bedrooms are quite big, our family of 5 stayed in one room. |There is a 24/7 bistro less than 2km away, we ate there a few times, it's cheap, food is ok, basic Latvian food, but suitable. Cesis is close which is a beautiful town and Sigulda is not to far, so we took the kids to the adventure facilities. |This place is not ideal for cooking elaborate dinners, so we ate out almost everyday, except for breakfast.||I recommend for families, the kids enjoyed the playground with a large trampoline and lots of toys inside and out. The venue is perfect to be in your own place with all of your guests. The accommodations vary from hostel style rooms, to private "apartment-style" areas. There are common bathrooms as well as shared bathrooms within the apartment-style rentals. We booked many of the rooms for our guests, even the bride's party had their own suite to get ready into. The hotel isn't booked completely and they definitely rely on weddings, parties, and other events to earn their keep. The landscape is beautiful and has many different areas for picture opportunities in the beautiful countryside of Latvia. You do have to bring your own caterer and drinks for the wedding.
