An excellent location which is close to main traffic roads in Zemgale region and quietness with countryside feeling at the same time. The reception, breakfast hall and a restaurant is located in a separate building, which helps to keep the environment around the hotel rather quiet. Good continental breakfast (Swedish table) including fresh salad, ham, cheese, eggs, juice, pancakes and pastries, which slighly varied from day to day. The food at the restaurant was well prepared and the waiter was great. Small pond with fishes, green surroundings and bird songs.

Since this is a two floor block-type hotel and some of the rooms have a terrace next to pond, the quietness and atmosphere might be impacted by other guests right under your open window (in case you have a superior room on the 2nd floor) or a footstep from your terrace door (in case you have a terrace yourself). In a sunny weather the room warms up pretty quick, but there is no air-conditioning and the only chance to sleep well is open the hotel door to generate air flow. This hotel is disgusting. The rooms need cleaning and renovation. The cleaning staff needs some etiquette training. I booked a triple room, and the third one turned out to be a fold-out bed with a very old mattress with old iron bars that dug into my back all night. The pillows were dirty, covered in something brown... I asked for them to be replaced with clean ones, and the cleaning lady, with a grimace, started asking me?! What was that on the pillows? Even though I'd only just stepped into the room and just checked in. It's her job to wash and answer questions.

I asked why the fire exit was closed. There are many rooms in the building, but only one exit was open. According to safety regulations, a fire exit should always be open, not locked. She said nothing.

There was no air conditioning in the room. There was constant noise outside the windows. The restaurant is disgusting. The food is terrible. The chef doesn't know how to cook at all.

Nice place for short escape from the city to enjoy countryside and quietness of the nature. Good value for money. Modern design, everything is fresh and clean, with a touch of Scandinavian style. Family room was perfect- separate room entrance, double deck, private terrace with pond view, spacious bathroom.

Good restaurant, lovely location for open-air breakfasts, staff is very friendly. Nice green lounge area with puffs close to the playground - parents with kids will definitely appreciate it. Old farm houses and retro cars museum for additional pastime. Big respect to the owners for saving and keeping such things which are part of this place history. Pond is not allowed for swimming and fishing. You can rent a boat on the river for water walk or fishing (we've got a pike), but the river itself is not very suitable...
