Hotel Felicia — Hotel in Riga

Booked this hotel because it is situated virtually 10min walk from my the purpose of my trip :-) ||Had to stay in one of those tiny loft rooms for couple of days as all other rooms were booked at the time. Ok, the room was VERY small but felt cosy rather than claustrophobic. Didn't have a wardrobe though and the walls seemed to be made of paper - got told off by my loft neighbours for chatting on skype too late into the night, apparently they could not sleep with me talking :-) and they weren't even in the room directly next to mine! Also the skylight in my room was directly above the bed and for whatever reason the blinds installed were white, so mornings were bit difficult :-) ||||After 3 nights moved downstairs into a really spacious room (a bit more expensive). Again white blinds on the skylight window but it was away from the bed, no trouble sleeping there :-) To be honest, if not the skylight, I would not have minded staying in that tiny loft room, if you are spending most of your time out, what does it matter? And the price was very good! ||||I agree with other reviewers - the rooms seemed to be exceptionally clean, the hotel itself was very quiet, though fully occupied. Didn't have time to try out their sauna or swimming pool, neither have I eaten in their restaurant or ordered room service, breakfast was quite good - they offer 3 options to choose from, so it's not a buffet. ||||I would not say that staff was unfriendly, it's true re: absence of smiles but they were quite helpful anyway. || ||Location was good for me and it is easy to get to the centre of town. Suppose if i were a tourist, i'd preferred to stay somewhere closer to the Old Town but then the cost would have been considerably different :-) ||||One tip: DO NOT make any calls from the hotel!! I know it's expensive but their rates seemed high than in other places, had to make couple of long calls on local mobile numbers and it was very, very expensive.||||P.S. beds were comfy but didn't like duvets and pillows - they were very... thin :-/ The 2nd room had 2 duvets and plenty of pillows, so it was ok. Felt a bit chilly under the single duvet in the loft room. Should have asked for another cover or could have switched on heating but then I would not have anything to...

I went to Riga for business, and stayed at this hotel. The hotel is very cozy, rooms are (at least our room) was large enough, also had an extensible couch. Very comfy bed. Cleaning was done once every 2 days or upon request. LCD TV with sattelite, Free Wifi and lots of toiletries. Minibar with... decent prices (however, there are 2 hypermarkets across the street where you can buy lots of stuff cheaper).||The buffet breakfast was pretty decent, but the same every day, the only difference was that one day you were having scrambled eggs and the next day fried eggs. Not an inconvenient, though. ||The staff was very kind and helpful, we were asking all sorts of questions about Riga and what to visit, how to get there, etc, and they were glad to help out.||However, i could point out 2 minuses:||1. The hotel is quite far from the city center, around 20-30 minutes by bus (the bus station is in front of the hotel) so unless you have business in that area, it could be a bit tiresome to go to the city center every day.||2. The hotel's restaurant holds parties on Fridays and Saturdays (wedding parties, baptism parties, etc) and it can be a bit noisy if you plan to go to bed early or if your room is right above the banquet hall. The music stops around 12:00 so it's no problem if you're going to bed later on.||||Anyway, all in all, it was a nice experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan a visit to Riga, plus i would stay here again if i were to...

Был в Латвии в начале июля 2015 года по делам. Гостиницу эту выбрал ИСКЛЮЧИТЕЛЬНО потому что она удобно располагалась к остановке служебного автобуса. Номер у меня был "Люкс" №25.||Итак по порядку: ||Представленные фотографии из ванной комнаты отеля не соответствуют действительности. Никакого богатого ассортимента гелей-шампуней там нет в помине. Каждый день мне приходилось напоминать о необходимости обновить скудный ассортимент. Никаких зубных паст и щеток там нет и в помине. И это в номере Люкс за 80 евро в сутки. Далее... Фена в номере не было (при выезде мне сказали что надо было попросить и мне бы принесли из другого номера. Бред). Полотенца были чистые не все. Некоторые с явными признаками вытирания ими чего-то грязного.. У самой ванной никакой занавески нет, так что во время приема душа вы просто уделываете всю ванну...||Переходим в спальную...||Кондиционер я смог включить только на 4-ый день из шести, т.к. не было пульта. Его принесли под отъезд из какого-то другого номера. Не смотря на стеклопакеты шум с улицы ужасен. Каждый день подъем был в 4.00 из-за истошно орущих над помойкой чаек. За всю неделю не выспался ни разу. Интернета в номере НЕТ!!! Он просто туда не добивает, о чем я был вежливо предупрежден, когда расплатился по приезду. Ну неужели сложно поставить 50-тидолларовый репитер и забыть об этой проблеме и не получать в свой адрес негативные отзывы??? Еще раз повторюсь - я останавливался в САМОМ ДОРОГОМ номере отеля!!!||Телевизор время от времени отказывался включаться... приходилось перегружать его путем временного отсоединения от розетки. ||В Гостиной (смысл которой мной не найден) диван, стол со стульями и телевизор. Цены в мини-баре просто космические. При том что под боком есть магазин Рими, где можно все купить по абсолютно нормальным ценам. Лампочки в люстрах работали только каждая пятая. До ресепшена не дозвониться, там вечно никого нет... завтрак скуден и невкусен... начинается от 7.30 и до 10.00, при этом если прийти в 9-9.30 - то уже ничего не останется и доваривать/дожаривать вам уже никто не будет, так как опять же, никого не дозовешься... Обслуживающий персонал я вообще ни разу не видел...||Итог...||В этой гостинице можно остановиться только в двух случаях... 1 - Вам действительно нужна эта рижская глухомань, где нет ничего (с культурной точки зрения). 2 - если они сделают адекватные своим условиям цены. от 20 до 40 евро в день. БОльшего этот отель ну...
