Modern Phoenician Guesthouse — Hotel in Batroun

We stayed for one night only as we had a late dinner in batroun, and with a baby, going back to beirut is a bit of a hassle. The place is very clean and well maintained. The owner is a super friendly person, combining the Australian manners we were used to with the Lebanese generosity. I was so surprised to see a small table and a chair with a coloring book and pencils as well as a puzzle in the room. He has thought of our baby. He has also put baby snacks and juice in the cupboard, in addition to the water, the coffee, the tea and the biscuits which were all free of chrage. That was really very nice and thoughtful. The room was clean with a very comfy bed.the toilet and the water pressure in the shower are very good. As for breakfast, it was like the one your mom will prepare for you. It was a good stay. The owner is very thoughtful and helpful. I highly recommend the place. If you can ask for a room with a balcony as ours...

Very friendly host who didn't ask for a deposit when booking. He just trusted that we will show up. Although we were offered the smallest room (because they are fully booked), the room was spacious and very clean. For the amount that we paid, we didn't expect basic amenities to be there but we were surprised to find water, coffee, tea, loofah, shampoo, hair dryer, and towels. Location is prime and I would highly recommend...
