We booked the most expensive room in the hotel which was charged at a whopping USD350 (top end in this area) as we wanted a fireplace to enjoy a special night together. We had requested it upfront and it was the sole reason to book this room, which was also the only option with a fireplace. We called them ahead of time to have the fireplace lit and room warm and cosy when we arrived (we arrived late). The fire was on but due to terrible maintenance the room ended up being smoked so we needed to open the windows to not suffocate. The whole room stank like smoke as well. The team also wasn't properly prepared and hadn't stocked the room with fire wood. Essentially we couldn't use the fireplace due to the smoke. No partial refund was offered either. The rooms are ok but considering this is probably the nicest hotel in the area, they lack detail. All fittings are cheap and flimsy. There are no amenities like body lotions, tissues or hand creams etc. The shower hat fell off. The decoration in the common area is beautiful but the rooms lack atmosphere and attention to detail. There is no decoration in any way or form (such as books/magazines candles etc). There is furniture in the rooms and thats it. Breakfast was nice and the team was helpful but overall it was an extremely disappointing experience at a very high price. I wouldn't recommend it but visit the Cedars and then...
Read moreWorst experience ever! We have checked in and left the bungalow an hour after to visit some sites & have dinner outside. We came back around 1am and decided to chill outside the bungalow for an hour roughly. After that , once we went in , someone gave us a torch and told us that maybe we will rhn out of electricity. Literally 5 min later they turned off the generator! We didnt have the chance to charge our phones, taking a bath in the obscurity was impossible so we decided to leave and texted the owner. 10 min after that they turned on the generator and begged us to stay. We were like no thank you we cant sleep in these conditions. What I mean is the following: In the bungalow I was freezing there is heating system, the bathroom are so old and not well maintained, the windows barely close..the second day I came back to check out I was expecting at least the basic of hospitality: we are sorry for what happened but no they decided to blame it on me that we decided to leave and she mentioned that they treated us so good they offered us 0.5kg of cherries! Not to mention that the night costs us 150$!...
