We walked in the Palace hotel in mid May 2013 without a reservation cause we were tired after visiting qadisha valley and wanted to avoid driving for another couple of hours through the mountains in the dark. Whereas the rate on the internet would have been 140.000 LBP, we were quoted 90$ for a double room incl. breakfast. The room on the 3rd floor featured a balcony, the furniture was rather simple, the bathroom clean. Comes with an old TV + complimentary wifi. In general, the place would benefit from some some maintenance/renovation to justify the price. Breakfast was the standard Lebanese fare, which was okay for us. As we were the only guests that night, there might be a better offer on weekends or during high season. Altogether okay, but not great, especially if you get a discounted rate by pre-booking through the internet. The guy who checked us in was...

A hotel that is more than wonderful, with service I have never seen in any of the hotels I visited in all the countries I’ve been to. Prices that I haven’t found cheaper in any hotel in Lebanon. The hotel owner, Mr. Joseph, is very kind, friendly, and humble, and he helps you with every detail. The restaurant owner, Mr. Eddie, and his wife are the nicest people I have ever met; they serve the guest as if he were a member of their family. I recommend everyone to visit this hotel so they can see for themselves what I’m saying. Thank you, Mr. Joseph and Mr. Eddie, for your wonderful treatment. May...
