I made a booking with Hotel Eleven in August 2018 in advance of the ski holidays for stay in February 2019.||As the winter season conditions were not yet released, we were asked to leave a deposit in the amount equal to 50% of our total stay as a provisional booking which would be confirmed by management around November/December along with the cancellation terms.||In December 2018, we received our confirmation where the hotel stated their cancellation policy as follows:||"In case of any cancellation 30 days before the arrival date, we will charge 35% from the total amount will be nonrefundable"||We decided to cancel our booking one day before our arrival and agreed to forfeit 35% of the total amount.||However, the hotel at their sole discretion refused to refund us the extra 15% from the 50% deposit that I placed during the provisional booking in August 2018.||I raised the fact that they have no justification whatsoever to retain the extra 15% and that this contradicts their own cancellation policy. They simply did not care.||While they offered us a one night stay instead of a refund of the extra 15%, I declined their offer as I cannot in good conscious deal with a hotel that intentionally rips off their guests.||This terrible experience gives a poor image of the tourism/hospitality industry in Lebanon and I have raised a complaint with the Ministry of Tourism.||I have never dealt with a hotel with such low ethical standards and will never recommend or book with them...
Read moreFor two consecutive years, we stayed in Hotel eleven for 6 nights each time during our skiing holidays. It is a great boutique hotel, clean ( housekeeping is spot on, towels and beds get changes daily...), convenient ( spacious rooms, free wifi, supermarket near by, 5 minutes walk to the slopes...), cosy, the food is amazing (The breakfast is so delicious and after trying most of the menu items there is nothing I don't recommend for lunch or diner) The staff are super friendly and considerate, attended to our needs without hesitation and to our three children with care. The kids did not want to leave, we truly feel at home at Eleven. Our experience starting from the booking ending by the departure was just perfect. We made beautiful memories and we strongly recommend it to anyone who would like to have a pleasant comfortable and memorable stay in Faraya. Thank you Nancy, Dany, Wassim and all of the team...
Read moreWe spent 3 days at the hotel with our 2 kids. It was such a great experience. We stayed in a suit that has a chimney. The mattress and the sofa bed were comfy. There was no room for an extra bed, but it was quite enough room for the 4 of us.|Hotel, Rooms are very cozy. 5 min walking distance from intercontinental and 2 min by car to the ski slope. |There is maybe a total of 8-10 rooms in total.|They make their own delicious croissant and manakeesh every breakfast. |Very friendly staff.|Room was clean, but I wouldn’t give it a 5/5 I would say 2/5. Saw some dust at the corners of the room.|They used to prepare the room, change the bins and leave and probably spray a bit of detergent in the air.
