K-Town - Apartment near the Lake — Hotel in Kaunas

Unfortunately I can not recommend this place. I have traveled over 20 times in Baltic-countries in different Airbnb's and never experienced anything like what happened in this place. We had drove over 500 km and came in the house and immediately three people who spoke only Russian came in and started to demand us to discipline our dogs, which of course are family members. Two dogs jumped to owners sofa and spent 4 seconds on it. Russian lady started to yell "discipline" and "down" like in army. We did not felt welcome at all. Lady wanted also dog fee and taxes to pay immediately - my roommate refused because she could not give receipt. In bathroom were mold spots and the smell was quite strong, like "the basement"-smell. Pillows had seen their best days 10 years ago, blanket was very thin. Kettle was full of green slime. Upstairs were girls with dogs and couldn't sleep much because of the noise. We decided after all this humiliation to book another place. Spent 1 night, owner did not give us any compensation.

edit. You dared to answer that "there must have been some misunderstanding, we did not have a guest in your name". Oh yes, my friend booked the flat. There were two staff members (?) coming in at the same time with us, didn't any of them see that there were two of us inside?

You are just twisting, dodging and avoiding your responsibilities. In some point you must do some changes in your attitude towards guests...

Place was easy to find, good communication with the host. Apartment clean and nice. Parking next to the house. The sofa bed I slept on was quite hard and lumpy, but the beds were comfortable and the sheets clean and nice. We didn’t find any heating in the house, so in October the night was cold. All to all a good place and the price was ok. Thank you...
