My partner and I visited Luxembourg on the 20th of December 2021, for a two days mini vacation and decided to stay at Hotel Perrin because of the good reviews. When we entered the hotel, I said hello and the man on the other side of the desk was just staring at us. No greeting, no smile, nothing. I asked if the hotel had many guests and if it was possible to see a room. He just rolled his eyes and said I can look at the pictures on the screen. I was very surprised of his sense of service, because I have visited more than 40 countries and I have never encountered a more unpleasant person like this receptionist at Hotel Perrin. This man was so bothered by our presence and he made it very clear. I looked up at my partner and he was as surprised as I was. While we were standing in front of the reception, this man was just staring into the computer, he didn't even look up at us. We decided to look for another hotel and we found Novotel just a 10 min walk from the train station. This was a very good choice because the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will never go back to Hotel Perrin and I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
I wonder what motivates this man to even put his feet behind a front desk at a hotel with such a bad attitude. How do you define customer service?...
Read moreStayed at Hotel Perrin for one night whilst transiting through Luxembourg whilst on my travels. It’s just a five minute walk from the main train station. The hotel has a real old fashioned theme to it with quirky and unique furniture in the public areas. My room, 401 was however modern and clean. The room had a TV and kettle / tea/coffee. The hotel has a lift which goes up to the 3rd floor, then you walk up a very old and grand looking staircase to the 4th floor. I didn’t eat at the hotel but breakfast was 20 euros and there appeared to be everything on the menu you could want. There’s lots of restaurants, cafes and bakeries within a short walking distance and a lot of the City Centre sights are within a 20 minute walk, but don’t forget that ALL public transport is free and there are tram and bus stops just 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel suited my needs exactly, being so close to the station. The elderly gentleman on the front desk was brilliant and welcoming and communication with the hotel prior to arrival was excellent. There was so much more to see in Luxembourg and I’ll return another day and won’t hesitate to book this...
Read moreCharming little hotel with with well-appointed rooms. I was only here for one night and had to leave early the following morning, so I booked a single room (which turned out to be an adorable, perfectly sized attic garret room with a really nice little bathroom) and it was ideal for my purposes. We arrived too early in the day to check in, but were able to leave our bags in the breakfast room (which was locked, reassuringly) until it was time to return to check in. The hotel's immediate surroundings aren't quite as cute as the hotel (lots of road work/construction), but, it's super close to the train station (great when you need to catch the bus to the airport--which, like all buses in Luxembourg, is free!--especially early in the morning) and an easy walk to the center of the city. And it's priced so well. I'd give this 5 stars/dots but my room had sort of an odd smell and, when I asked about being moved, that wasn't possible due to the hotel being fully booked that night. It wasn't so bad I couldn't deal with it, but, it would've been more pleasant had it been odor free. Otherwise, though, I would definitely return to...
