Hôtel-Restaurant Gruber — Hotel in Rosport-Mompach

Bad experience. Extremely noisy during the night with internal noises that you don't know where they come from. Noises even during the day from the road adjacent to the hotel. Insects can also be found in the rooms. Poor soap in the bathroom. They are small counted sachets. Very poor breakfast consisting of 3 or 4 things counted. It is not a buffet and is served at the table with everything counted down to the millimeter. At the reception an indisposed and rude lady (not only told by me but also by other customers of the hotel) who seems to be everywhere in the hotel to check and beat her customers continuously in their behavior. She looks like the Rottermaier from Heidi's cartoon. The reception lady who never sleeps in the absence of customers goes to check the rooms if everything is in order. Among other things, Mrs. Rottermeier when I arrived had a wrong reservation of my rooms and insisted on wanting to be right but then after contacting Expedia she realized that she was very wrong. We stayed at this hotel four nights. The location is great...right on the N10 just outside Echternach, so coming home from our daily excursions was easy and didn't involve city traffic and oneway streets. The hotel has ample parking, too, which was a plus since we had a car.||The owner speaks English, German, Dutch, and French and was very accomodating. Breakfast was served in a nice atrium. It was a typical continental breakfast served to your table and quite filling. Dinner was also served in this room, and you need to tell the owner earlier in the day that you will be attending dinner so that they can prepare. The food was very nice, mostly prepared in the French style with several nice choices, and the service was nice.||Our room was en suite with a shower and toilet and we had a small sitting area for extra moving room. All in all, a nice little place to come back to each night. Echternach was 5-10 minutes away. Luxembourg City was about 30-40 minutes by car. Trier is about 30...
