It was only a one night stay here but it was certainly memorable. An hour after arriving, we were about to get a shower before going downstairs for dinner, when water started to drip from the ceiling light in the bathroom. We informed reception, who after some investigation confirmed that the room above had flooded their bathroom, unfortunately the hotel was full, so no other rooms were available, so he simply placed a bucket on the floor to catch the water. Eventually the dripping stopped and were able to get ready for dinner much later than expected only to find there was no power in the room from the sockets, presumably the water leak caused the power failure. My wife managed to dry her hair by using a power socket in the hallway! Thankfully when we returned from dinner, the power was back on and the water dripping had stopped and the bucket removed .||While acknowledging this wasn't the fault of the hotel and they were very apologetic, we had thought they would make a reduction to the cost of room as compensation for the inconvenience caused, instead, they offered a complementary half litre of house wine at dinner.||Other than this, the room was very good. The hotel is decorated in art deco style which was very stylish and everything is well maintained. There is limited car parking just outside the hotel. Breakfast the following morning was a cold buffet but adequate for...
Read moreWhat can I say about this place, I know why they are rated 9.4 on booking.com. ||First impressions when we arrived outside, looked beautiful, clean and tidy. ||Gabby the host is very friendly and helpful, on arrival she offered help with our bags as we were on the 2nd floor, we managed fine, but you don’t get offers like that very often. ||The room was one of the best we’ve stayed in, the decor was lovely, nice size bed, bathroom was great, nice big walk in shower. ||Once we’d sorted ourselves out we went to the bar and had a few well earned beers, Lewis behind the bar was very friendly always had a smile on his face and very chatty. ||We didn’t eat an evening meal there as we were out till late exploring the area, however we made breakfast, there was plenty to eat and it was presented better than I’ve seen in a 4/5 star hotel, very impressed I have to say. ||We stopped for 2 nights and had the hotel not been fully booked we would have stopped another night. ||On a downside and nothing to do with the hotel, the church rings its bells at 7am every morning, also people seem to be up working quite early too, you may need to keep the windows shut if you don’t want to wake up that early lol. ||I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone, if I ever get the chance to visit the area again this hotel would be at the top of my...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel in Wiltz, Luxembourg, and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in the heart of the town, just across the street from the town hall. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they were always happy to help with anything I needed.
The rooms were modern and clean, and they were well-equipped with all the amenities I could have asked for. I was particularly impressed with the fridge in the room, which was very convenient for storing drinks and snacks.
The town of Wiltz is small but charming, and it has a number of great shops and restaurants. There is also a large shopping center just a 10-minute drive away. The countryside around the town is stunning, and it is a great place to go for walks, hikes, or bike rides.
Overall, I highly recommend the Hotel Wiltz. It is a great value for money, and it is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation...
