A homestay run by local. 15mins walk from Mulu Airport. However, the heat is unbearable. So just grab a ride from locals for RM5 per pax to the homestay. Place is clean and cosy. Private bathroom for every room. There are only 6 rooms available. There's no air-conditioning in the room or heater for shower. Not an issue since we're out most of the day. Walk to the Mulu National Park entrance in 5 to 7mins. Super convenient. Feeling tired in the day, you can just walk back to rest. Common area has snacks and bottled water for sale. Honest based, pay later. The hot water in the flask is FOC for your own coffee or tea. Affordable no frill accommodation for the smart traveller! For information, there are other eateries along the road towards the park entrance if the owner is not able to cook. If you missed the bats exodus at the park. Stand outside the homestay between 5 to 6pm to see if you can catch the sight.

Spent a week's worth of nights at AA Homestay and I felt right at home. The place is affordable and the rooms are simple and cozy. The place is special. And what makes it special, is the lovely, kind family you share the space with. They were always friendly and caring, happily serving nice homey food, and even gifted me some fruit before my treks. Happy I stayed here, and hope I can return someday!

We stayed for 4 nights to explore the national park and I couldn't recommend AA Homestay more. The place itself is great, the rooms are big with private bathrooms, there's a nice common area and dining area. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk to the park entrance and close to the airport. But what makes this place so special is the people who run it who make you feel completely at home. We had such a great stay, I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the park. Also, they've now got electricity 24 hours, so you don't have to go without a fan! Thank you for...

Amazing stay! The rooms were large and comfortable and nice to have a private bathroom and 24h electricity. The room was cool overnight with the fan. Location is amazing, only a few minutes walk to the national park entrance so we were able to come in and out as many times as needed. Drying racks were really nice when we were caught in the rain and Albert even brought our clothes outside to dry faster in the sun while we were in the park! Albert and his family were so welcoming and kind. Food was also delicious and good prices. Definitely would...
