We came to visit Sandakan City for meeting up some family members over the weekend. Our booking was entirely done through internet search engine. I must say, the hotel location is a bit off the main thoroughfare Jalan Labuk. The hotel entrance is actually at the back row of the shophouse at Bandar Maju. It is approximately 1.7 miles from City commercial centre. We didn't have a chance to try out their hotel breakfast because our hotel offer was without breakfast. But I believe we didn't miss much, as our friends took us out for eateries in the City.||The room was pretty small but adequate for 2, if your idea is to sleep. Not much of a view from our room, as it was on the first floor and there is a pedestrian corridor alongside the window. So we had to draw the curtain throughout our stay. We were told rooms on the upper floors were not available.||An electrical kettle is provided, but no refreshment like tea bags or ready-mix coffee are ever given. Only a bottle of distilled water. For the seasoned travellers, please note : No bath robe, no hair dryer, no fridge, no comb, no tooth brush, nor tooth paste. A smallish old fashion television which could received 3 channels for your entertainment. Staff are noticeably friendly. The bed is comfy. Bathroom is considered well maintained. Overall, the hotel is...
