Read moreThe konlo noodles and chicken rice here is passable, but nothing I'd return for. What I WOULD come back for is their Portuguese egg tarts. Given the lack of choice in Sandakan, the ones here are one of the (if not THE) best in town. Priced at RM1.60 each (as of June 2018), they have a good fragrance with sufficiently eggy filling and a melt-in-your-mouth flaky crust. Considering that prices start at RM2.50 in KL, this is a steal.
They also sell Chempiang (Ham Chim Peng) which is supplied by the Hai Joo Bakery around the corner and is fresher (and about 30 sen cheaper) at the bakery. Therefore, other than for the egg tarts, I wouldn't bother getting anything else...
