Liwagu Lodge — Hotel in Borneo

We booked the Liwagu Suite, on the recommendation of friends, and through Amazing Borneo Tours. (The latter were very assertive in establishing the booking and getting paid, thereafter, they did nothing: there was no one at the desk when we arrived, no greeting, and no information.)|The 'suite' itself was comparatively expensive, and clearly designed by an architect who had never stayed in one such.|The bedroom is upstairs with the cupboards, but the shower downstairs; the sofas and cushions designed to look good but are too unyielding to be comfortable. |The main living rooms in the hotel are spacious, light, and airy with views onto the forest. The restaurant provides a broad menu catering for all tastes.|However, strangely, despite the booking being made by a tour company, and breakfast being included in the price, we were told by National Parks that we were supposed to breakfast at the canteen, quite a long way from the hotel. As this was not only inconvenient, but it was pouring with rain, we stayed put, and had to pay again.|Frankly, although in terms of its position, the Liwagu Suites are very convenient, and the public sitting areas comfortable,|I would not say that one receives...

Liwagu Suite is very clean, refurbished condition better than the other chalets inside the park which the other quite out dated. Love the design and the attic (double story suite). Love the size of the room, huge for just the 2 of us and my favorite part is the balcony with a sofa bed which you could enjoy the nature (forest view is just outside the balcony). I love the experience here! Kettle, iron, board, hairdryer, etc are all provided here. They even have to toilet for the upstairs room. Staffs also very very accommodating, and super fast check...

The best available accommodation in the Kinabalu national park if you want to climb the mountain. Simple, clean and convenient. Accommodation and food is extremely basic but clean and quiet.|Staff are friendly and attentive, and there is a secure luggage store for your excess baggage while you do the climb.|If your mad enough to do the climb this is the best accommodation...
