My husband and I was there celebrating our anniversary with prior arrangement through Manis Manis office in Kota Kinabalu. It was a full board honeymoon package as per our request. Upon arrival on Day 1, we checked in around 1.30pm. Check in counter was located further down than the room...together with the restaurant. This is a highlands area so the geographical factors is the main concern. Better drive your own vehicle inside the area to make it easy to reached from point A to point B. Room was spacious, beautiful, romantic (set up for honeymoon with roses and a small gifts). No air-conditioning in room, just a fan (chills area around 18-25 degrees Celsius, about 1200m from sea level). Coffee & tea & mineral waters on compliment. Hot shower functioning well. However, TV not functioning but you wouldn't need it as the nature will cater most of your time over there. We had welcome drinks, coffee and doughnut/muffin around 2.30pm and then proceed to the Crocker Range Park main entrance to meet our guide Mr. Ronald (very nice guy). He escorted us into the garden (fernarium and insectarium) to watch the pine trees, herbs, baby rafflesia (keitli) and the insects. We finished at around 5.00pm. Thereafter, we had romantic dinner around 7.30pm to celebrate our anniversary at the nearby restaurant with beautiful setup (balloons, roses, candles, fruit basket, chocolate cake, black paper grilled lamb with salad and fries prepared by the chef, complimentary sparkling water (HALAL) and coffee). Dinner was delicious and worth it. On Day 2 we had breakfast at 7.00am. Then we meet Mr. Ronald again around 8.30am for the jungle tracking (Crocker Trail, 2.036 km). We started from top and down until we reached the fernarium again. Along the trail, we saw a lot of pine trees, wild mushroom, herbs, giant bamboo, rattan, timber, etc. Trail was a bit challenging and slippery due to the rain a night before. Must wear leech socks to protect our legs from leech bites (beware of tiger leech). We finished around 11.00am, refreshing up, check out at 1.00pm and had our lunch (superb traditional dishes, ask for TUHAU). ||Overall, it was a beautiful honeymoon package for us who loved the nature so much. Definitely...

We rented a chalet for one night by ringing Manis Manis directly, it was cheaper than using the hotels websites. The drive from Kota Kinabalu was easy, just under 2 hours. Unfortunately the weather set in and it was raining quite heavily by the evening. The staff were very friendly and pleasant , we were the only guests. The room was just that, a room , with a 4 poster bed a cupboard , a couple of drawers a chair , a fan , on suite bathroom . Quite adequate really, but lacking in personality, no balcony and no comfortable seating, large windows to peer out at the rain!! They had an insectarium in a sort of rain forest which we were able to walk round , no real signage so had no idea where we were walking. The road walks around were incredibly steep, I believe the trails were not so bad. The food was grossly over priced and not that good. It is difficult to cart all that stuff up to the resort so that may account for the price. Each meal was individually cooked, and individually served, but was always quite cold...strange that, all main food were made from packets, I.e. Curry packets , package noodles, sauce packets eats, which was a shame but easier I guess. No problem with going back but would need to find somewhere...

We went there for our yearly family outing on the end of the year and its worth every penny we spend! I am so in love with the surrounding trees, its really a good place for a relaxation and getaway from the hustle bustle of a city. When you reach there you can hear the birds chirping happily, the fresh air that surrounding you makes you refresh and rejuvenate. The scenery from the lodge was breathtaking. You can walk and hike around the resort for about one and half hour. We even get to see a week old Rafflesia flower that bloom on their property. At the night the air became chiller so makes sure to bring a warm clothes. The water was super cold but don't worry they makes sure to supply you with water heater. For food and beverages, you can always eat in at their restaurant that joined with the resort reservation center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our family was really in love with this place and planning on going...
