Helpful Owner! Our rental car broke down, and the owner provided us great suggestion to talk to the rental company. She then arranged the driver to pick us up to kawakawa river cruise. We purchased the package from her. The room is clean, so we had a great night sleep. Hot water and water pressure are great! WiFi is available and speed is perfect. AC is great! Shampoo and soup are available, but we prefer to use our own. Hot water boiling electric kettle is available. The breakfast is not provided, but you can walk one minute to the noodle and rice place next to the house. The breakfast is wonderful! But lots of mosquitoes! If you are doing a free and easy roadtrip through Borneo like we did, I'd definitely recommend a night (or two!) here, especially if you're passing by on the way to Kudat or Mount Kinabalu. ||||Of all the places we stayed this had the BEST view of the mountain (so the name is very accurate advertising ;)), and we enjoyed chatting with Germaine and friends who were very helpful and told us about a fantastic place for snorkelling. ||||The room is very clean, pillows were a bit of a worry but Germaine happily gave us softer ones. We had an amazing time in Mountain View Guesthouse! Our original plan was to stay one night, since we wanted to go Mantanini Island the next day. However, after Germaine (the host) and her family gave us some information about it and told us about other nice things to do near Kota Belud, we decided to stay 2 more nights. They offered to bring us to some nice places for a small fee (pandan pandan island and two rivers, both beautiful spots). The rooms were really clean and the breakfast was delicious.
