POOR hotel management. From the unwillingness and reluctant reception service to the poor food handling for quarantined hotel guests. Food provided by the hotel management for hotel guests were mediocre to say the least- Utter disgust and inedible. As we are left with no choice, we ordered own food from food delivery applications, food handling from hotel were incoherent. It takes hotel staff up to an hour to process our food from the hotel lobby to our guest rooms. By the time our food arrived at our door step, we are greeted with not hot food, but displeasing warm to cold meals. I was in the lobby to check in, one of the guest's meal arrived and dare I say that the food was left unattended for approximately 25 minutes before someone actually took some time from their "ever-so-busy" schedule to handle the guest's food. However, some upsides would be the room as they are spacious. Room condition was good, not too bad. Had a hair dryer which sparks up electric and 'joys' while trying to dry my hair after a shower, also leaving behind some aftertaste of electric ;). An elevator to... "Elevate" your spirits if you ever got out from a mere quarantine room to venture into the vast COVID infested world.
To sum up, Mr Victor should invest in hospitality and management training for his precious staff. If I could, I would rate lesser than 1 star. Please steer far from such premise if considering for future vacation.
Would highly suggest Kingwood Hotel at...
Read moreThis hotel is the epitome of "cheap and nice". GREAT value for money. Very clean, no nonsense establishment. Rooms are clean although quite basic. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are quite small but the rain shower is very nice. Breakfast is a simple affair at the adjacent cafe. Not a bad spread. Room service can also be ordered from said cafe. Other than that there is a coffee shop, cafe and laundrette downstairs. I think the best part of this hotel is the staff. They are excellent! Friendly, helpful, courteous and always with a smile on their faces.||Now, on to the caveats:|Rooms can sometimes be quite far away as the hotel is long in length so those with mobility issues might want to request for a room nearer to the lifts. Family rooms are usually quite near to the lifts. They're quite comfortable and large enough for a family of four or even five. ||The hotel's location is somewhat far from town, at least 20-30 mins travelling time to the town centre. So if you have your own vehicle, it will infinitely be more convenient. Incidentally, there's a great supermarket nearby (New World) with some cafes and restaurants and a 7-eleven in the same area too.||However, what I love the most is the service! The staff are great! And most definitely, I look forward to...

Its a non smoking facility but you still can smell smoke from the corridor..😅
Inside the room have safe and table for you to do your work. Amenities quite basics too.
