Route 66 Café — Restaurant in Borneo

Amazing coffee and delicious food! The moment you enter this cafe, you are greeted with the aroma of delicious coffee. The cafe is quite spacious, seating about 25 people inside and about 8 people outside. They have a variety of coffee and non coffee choices as well as food and desserts. Staffs were very friendly and service was quick.

Heres what we ordered: SHORTBREAD LATTE. I was curious about what a shortbread latte was. It was basically a cafe latte after being dipped in shortbread! It was unexpectedly simple yet delicious. The coffee itself was amazing, very aromatic and nutty with just a hint of acidity. Had the right ratio of espresso to milk as it wasn’t overly milky and sweet.

MANGO COCONUT SMOOTHIE. Super refreshing and undoubtedly delicious. Very smoothly blended with bits of coconut. The right amount of mango syrup, so it’s not too unbearably sweet.

PULLED BEEF HOAGIE. Juicy, soft and flavourful pulled beef on a soft hotdog bun. It was unexpectedly delicious and I highly recommend to order this if you’re not sure what to order.

BEEF WRAP. Packed with tonnes of lettuce, beef slice and delicious sauces. The whole wrap was moist, flavourful and fresh.

Overall, a great cafe for coffee and light bites. I have yet to try any desserts like their brownies and cakes. Will definitely...

Good coffee. Way better than Starbucks. Would rank this on par with Koffee Brick and Little Roast Co. Everyone else comes second. A little out of the way for me but as a coffee enthusiast I've driven up 2-3 times now for the coffee and a bit of quiet. Space is small. For my laptop work, the smaller tables are a bit difficult to place documents and bag but I feel too awkward hogging the bigger tables by myself although it's generally quiet when the office workers are not in and the Curtin students are in class. I've also tried a few treats such as the pumpkin pie, chicken pie, and croissant sandwich - so-so, but comparable to snacks in coffee places like Starbucks, Koffee Brick, Brewhouse and Chapter One in town with...
