Prime Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

Small affordable cozy hotel at the heart of Limbang town. A short walk across the road to the left is the Medan Selera Limbang (a night foodcourt) and to the right is Limbang plaza, and town main area.

There are 2 coffee shops, Pit Stop cafe (halal) and New Mei Sing (non halal) nearby, and a few more behind. Also 2 convenient stores, a bakery shop, clinic, chinese restaurant (non halal). There is also a self-service laundry shop behind the hotel too. In short, everything is within walking distance.

About the room.

It was some what clean ( I found bugs on the floor and a small dead centipede in the toilet bowl. ).

No carpet flooring which is a good thing.

Average quiet level but depending on which side of the hotel room you are in. Avoid rooms facing the main road if you want some peace and quiet sleep. Do not expect a 5 star soundproofed room because it is not.

Air-conditioned, equipped with TV (don't bother to switch on).

Has a toilet and bathroom combo setup. Clean functional toilet with toilet papers provided. Overhead/handheld heat adjustable shower with sop, body wash and towel provided too. Water pressure was OK but the room I stayed, toilet/bathroom door not able to shut properly.

Room has a clothing cabinet big enough for suitcase and bags with some cloth hangers. No inroom safety box.

Room has a small table, big enough for laptops and accessories with 1 reachable power outlet and another near the TV.

Room has sufficient lighting. Door way, bed side, and center top.

Hotel has wifi but for some unknown reasons, the service was not available during my stay.

No lift or elevator, so prepare to carry your loads into and out the room.

Recommended ? Err..., is subjective. Would I stay here again ? For short term and sake of convenient, yes and I can compromise a little (noise and bugs) for good night sleep and...

We stayed here when we drove across Borneo. This place was recommended by a local guy working at a restaurant. There was nothing that special about it, but it was affordable and clean. The wifi worked well, even in our room. They had TV, private bathroom, and it was quiet. There are a few shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. It's also close to the river and the large mall in town. A double room there cost us around 30 ringit if I remember right. Room facing main road very noisy.. near to mosque will be waken up in the morning if you don't mind.. my room with a connecting door can hear people speaking next door.. and the room is a smoking room..
