The stay was excellent! I got a whole new renovated room! I had small chats with the staff about they are actually replacing all furniture for all rooms! They are having some renovation (most probably by mid jan they will get it all done) so if you are bringing a kid with you this might be something that will bother you. But for my case my stay was definitely satisfying- the renovation does not bother me!! The place is huge HUGE and you get to go for a morning/ night walk. The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. They also have a night walk that is supervised by the staff! But you might want to check with the staff first on the package and activity! The place is very secured and you would definitely feel safe in this place! (Place is super big and middle of a forest and hilly- but the road is well maintained. No problem if you are driving here) when you reach the place, the guard at the main gate will follow you with a buggy and park in front of your car to bring u up to your room! (The service is 10/10, the staff will help bring ur luggage to your room without even asking!) mind you this place requires u to climb lots of stairs! But for young people like me I definitely enjoy it because it’s my only cardio after eating Penang food! Haha so far this place really serves you with a 10/10 service and quality. I didn’t get to try the breakfast/ dinner because i went out to eat but they will serve dinner to your room! (Another extra points) to me this place really stepping up their game by doing renovation and even changing the whole sets of furniture in each room- they also currently building a shower house for cyclist to come to take a break/ take shower before continue their journey! (How cool is that????) They also have huge garden for you to enjoy and walk around (even have barcode to scan for you to get to know the plant around the area!!) If u see the picture on Agoda as of today, it’s actually an old picture. The new room is EVEN MORE COMFY AND EXCLUSIVE!! Please everyone if you ever hesitate to go to this place, DON’T. Here you get a comfy bed, excellent service, and beautiful scenery!! The TENTED VILLA is actually quite private because you get your own balcony where you can lepak lepak enjoying the view and it’s not too close with other villa. I can’t wait to go to this place again!!!!!! To all staffs that reading this, thank you much for your kind and tiptop service. I hope to see...

If you are someone like me who kinda has a love-hate relationship with outdoor camping, love the outdoor nature feel and scenery but hate the humid and warm condition when camping, then the solution is Glamping!

This place is totally awesome for glamping and the first impression I have is how they maintain the place in such a nice condition. Everything looks great and well kept and quite clean in general. The checkin process was very easy and also first impression is it feels so damn tiring to walk around because the road there all seems steep and also there are stairs but thankfully for checkin and checkout there is a free buggy shuttle service.

I took the room with 2 big beds (4 person) and everything is nice and clean. Bathroom is also nicely done. As we are talking about camping, there is no tv inside the room and basically we get a microwave and also an electric kettle to boil water. And I love the 360 window all over the room when we open up the curtain, you can basically see all the trees and greens all around you. There is a small swimming pool available for the kids to play but i don't think it works for adults.

Food wise, don't expect much as there are limited items available but then again we actually ordered every single item available from menu and they all taste good! Even the breakfast buffet menu is kinda simple only but again when it comes to taste, it is actually good as well for me. So I really suggest that you bring your own food and maybe your own small camping cooking ware yourself as well. We brought a small coffee machine ourselves. ;)

All in all, it really depends on what you want or like. For some people it can be pretty boring as there isn't anything else to do here but for me, it feels perfect where I get to feel like I am in the middle of a jungle and yet I get to enjoy air conditioning which is something i really like and appreciate. ;)

5 stars. Definitely returning if they continue to maintain this...

Leaving Boulder Valley was one of the hardest things about our trip – we truly wished we could stay longer.

As beachgoers whenever we visited Penang for holiday, staying at Boulder Valley on the hilltop of Teluk Bahang was a refreshing change. The journey itself was an adventure, with a winding road leading to the resort. If it hadn’t been raining, we would have stopped along the way to capture the stunning views.

The check-in process was seamless, and we were graciously upgraded to tented villa A5, conveniently close to the reception, restaurant, and pool. Even if we had to walk farther, the beautiful surroundings would have made it a pleasure. A big thanks to Anis and Amira for their warm welcome. From reception, Ilyas whisked us away to our villa on a buggy.

We made the most of our time by swimming in the pool, trekking through the jungle, bird watching (newbie with a binocular) and simply soaking in the views. Boulder Valley is the kind of place where you don’t feel the need to explore touristy spots – it’s a destination in itself.

On the second day of our stay, we ordered room service from the restaurant, and the food was spectacular. The nasi goreng bunga kantan and ayam percik was the star, accompanied by the flavorful spaghetti "Bouldernees" and pepperoni pizza. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality made it well worth it.

The tented villa felt like a glasshouse, and opening the doors to the lush trees and hearing the raindrops was an unforgettable experience, truly priceless.

Our 3-day, 2-night stay was magical, perfectly matching what we were seeking—absolute privacy and a calming or you may say a 'healing' holiday.

P.S. While the facilities might be limited, we would recommend bringing along some board games, a laptop for movies, or a good book. No issue with Internet connection.

For us, though, we loved it just the way it was.

Staffs were very friendly, welcoming and helpful from the moment we checked in. We stayed for two nights on weekdays and the we had the place almost to ourselves. The rooms were recently renovated and just completed in end January 2022, so everything looks pristine new! Our room was kept clean and tidy, with basic amenities like body shower, shampoo, towels, instant coffee and tea, mineral water. We requested for a safari tent on higher ground and further away from other tents. The only downside is it is farthest from the pool haha! The area is surrounded by natural rainforest and boulders, perfect for a morning or even evening walk around the place. There is a complimentary buggy ride from the tent to the reception, or car park; just give them a call and they will pick you up almost right away. Food option may be limited as they only provide in-room dining at the moment; BBQ pit is not open yet. Recommended to bring along some easy-to-consume food and snacks as it takes about 15-20 minutes to drive to Balik Pulau town for food. The drive to the place is slightly narrow, winding and hilly so if you are driving a manual car, it could be a challenge. WiFi signal was very weak. Water pressure in the bathroom, but we are in a jungle, so not a big issue. Mosquitos, so bring some insect repellent along (we were provided with a complimentary bottle of insect spray for the room during check-in). There are no clothes hanger in the wardrobe.
