Family suite garden will accommodate 3 adults + 1 child comfortably. Hot water availabe. TV but no channel and need to deposit RM100 for USB drive loads with about 20 movies ( cartoon + action + etc) OR better to bring your own. Large balcony with a couple of beach bed. Enough space to hang wet clothes. Food portion will satisfy average Malaysian and taste good too. Other restaurants also available nearby but not really sure the price though. On average RM40 per person for lunch / dinner at the resort. Mobile phone coverage is good. Very helpful and friendly staff. Keep up the great job.Power trip / dip (2 or 3 sec long) few times at night (not power cut off) hope resort management will come up with countermeasure soon. Resort is kept clean always. Next time will try new building with private pool. Easy access to really nice beach to snorkelling / swim / sun bath at Perhentian Island Resort (5 minutes walk via concrete stairway). Turtle point just 100 meters swim to the floating platform. Spot a few sting rays and a baby shark on the way back to shore. Took water taxi to Long Beach and short hike to wind mill (1 km @ 100 meter elevation ). Not recommended after raining as surface will lose some grip. Jungle track starts from the back of Chilllout Cafe. The track is substitute for the direct stairway which is inaccessible due to bad condition. View on top is breathtaking but the facilities is a bit run down. Please be extra careful when leaning against handrails. Hope gov will fix the facilities soon. Beautiful coral and fish variety at Susu Dara Island. Highly recommended.

Coral View Resort is a lovely spot for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Perhentian Islands. The surroundings are truly stunning, with lush greenery, crystal clear waters, and an atmosphere that feels peaceful yet full of life. The resort’s location offers some of the most amazing views, especially at sunrise and sunset, making it a great choice for those who appreciate being close to nature. The rooms are decent, clean, and comfortable, with the added convenience of air-conditioning—a welcome relief after a day in the tropical heat. The breakfast provided is reasonable, with enough variety to start your day without fuss. While the resort doesn’t go over the top with luxury, it provides everything you need for a relaxed island getaway. One important tip for visitors: if you enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine in the evenings, it’s best to bring some from the mainland. Alcohol can be difficult to find on the Perhentian Islands, and choices are very limited. For those who love the sea, the nearby beach in front of Perhentian Island Resort is a highlight. It’s fantastic for swimming, and with some luck, you can spot turtles and even small reef sharks gliding gracefully through the water. A perfect experience for snorkelers and ocean lovers alike.

I spent four nights in this hotel and I had lunch/dinner as well. Unfortunately I can put just one review for both, but I will separate my notes for any of them. HOTEL - All the “Standard” and “Deluxe” rooms are in the old part of the resort. They are dark (one small window at the entrance), uncomfortable (the bed was terrible) and with a constant sewage smell. The cleanliness was really questionable and the towels were totally worn out. There is the new building (Premium Sea View) with bigger rooms, nice furniture, bright window, real swimming pool (the deluxe one is a fake) and private sun-beds. Those rooms are pretty expensive and I don’t think the cleaning service would be different. I should spend a good note for the kind receptionist and for the butlers, always ready to help you with luggages. RESTAURANT - I really liked their local food, which they offer in many variations. If you eat on the terrace during a sunny day, you can enjoy the wonderful view on turquoise PIR beach. You will probably have a close meeting with the thousand squirrels that are living on the threes. BEACH - There are actually two beaches but, because of the many corals, no one is really comfortable for bathing. Not a big problem…PIR beach is 2 minutes walking.

Feels like you are in a refugee camp with your own money:

——

Stayed 4 nights at standard room with A/C as a couple with no kids.

First and foremost, this hotel has too many different types of rooms. We stayed one level up of the economic rooms. I think they call it standard with air con. You should avoid the economic rooms at all cost.

When we have arrived to the hotel, although we paid for standard with air con, they put us to one of the economic rooms. It was completely a terrible room. We were almost cutting our holiday short then they moved us to another eco room and then they said they made a MISTAKE which seemed a LIE to us based on how they approached to us. They weren’t ever ready to accomodate us such as fixing the A/C or safety box.

Even though the upgraded room is better than the eco ones, this room seemed also not cleaned properly. Stains on the dirty carpet, A/C is old, makes noise, not strong. We asked to get the balcony cleaned, never happened. Needless to mention, facilities like dryer are also in a terrible condition. They also put automatic system so once you take the key out, electricity is gone. Feels like a hotel from 1990s. :)

Re the staff, hard to communicate in Eng. Although they don’t reject your requests, you need to ask every single thing you need. Main reason is, it’s a big hotel and they are understaffed. They do everything to save money.

Re the kitchen, how can you eat at the restaurant when you see the cleaning problem everywhere? We never ate at their restaurant. We saw how seafood stored in a dirty boxed with only water without ice.

The management of the hotel really need a cleaning training.

Good things about the hotel, the location of the hotel is really good, easy access everywhere to both islands. The coast view is amazing along with a clean water. They also have free sunbeds though they are not enough for busy periods though. If you have kids, there is a good pool unlike other hotels around.

Finally note that, this hotel doesn’t serve alcoholic drink like many hotels in both islands but there is a restaurant called The Barat...

The location is very nice but the hotel service is just really bad. Were questioned many times by their staff whether or not we stayed there when using the pool and facilities, we felt very unwelcomed like somehow we’re trespassers. We had to take our own menu and go to their staff personally to order even though there weren’t other customers. The food took so long to prepare and the staff weren’t smiling at all. The food was also just mediocre for the price. Our room was badly located, the balcony was half-blocked by the stairs so we didn’t even use the area. The lights at the sofa area was not functioning so it was very dark at night. We barely had any natural light coming in, just relying on the very dimmed lighting in the room. The toilet door was pretty much damaged, we couldnt open or close the door properly. There was no hotel telephone so we couldn’t call the hotel if we had any problems. The staff didn’t even clean our room on our second day even though it was written in the room that they would clean every single day. Last day was the worst. We had to go all the way to reception to get someone to help carry our bags back to reception. We waited near the reception for 30 minutes for our boat back but they didn’t carry our bags or say anything. By the time it was 12pm, we went to the reception ourselves and they said it was too late. The staff at the reception asked us to carry our own bag and hurry if not we would miss our boat. When we arrived at the jetty, we were scolded by their staff cause we were too late and everyone else has been waiting for us. Definitely the worst experience I’ve had and ruined our whole stay there. Would recommend someplace else especially if you’re Malaysian cause they won’t...

They serviced the ac after we informed that the room is not getting cold at all. This is something they need to check before every guest arrive. Washroom is too small and really bad. I don’t think they do maintenance properly. It is really not worth the money. All Amenities were not provided. Ex, toothpaste. At least put it in the website that what you do not provide. Didn’t provide air dryer. No tissue box provided. F&B service was good and staffs were good too Reception service really needs to improve. There a lady who did communicate really well but the others didn’t care about the guest at all. I do understand that it’s in an island so probably they won’t able to provide every single things like city hotels. But I do except them to atleast do the maintenance properly or reduce the room rate.

Now coming to the good part which is the location. I would say the location is very nice. Suggested to stay at some other hotel but can visit this but not recommended to say. The Restaurant has really nice view and restaurant staffs are good. Atleast very friendly and helpful then the receptionists.

Lastly I took a package so this was from coral view island resorts office which is Kuala Besut. Not recommended to book package at all, please try to arrange by your own, because very poor communication. They won’t be arranging and guiding you accordingly. I was really disappointed by taking package.

This is my first time reviewing a hotel because usually if it’s good or bad I share it among friends. But this trip made me really disappointed about the stay, I went with my family after a long time and really thought it would be nice to stay in coral view resort after seeing some reviews. But naahh, didn’t...
