I am not one who will leave bad review but this hotel is the first! I need to write this to warn anyone who is looking to book this hotel. This hotel used to be my favourite two years ago when they were newly opened. The price was good and rooms were clean. But it is not this anymore. I booked this hotel in May without reading the google reviews. It was the worst decision made by my partner and I. Check-In was slow (though we were the only one checking-in at 9pm) and lobby was covered with spiderwebs. The hotel staff allocated us to level 9. When we came out of the lift, it felt like we have entered to a horror movie. Lights were dim and there were rows of chairs outside 3/4 of the rooms in that level (it definitely looks like a quarantine floor. The receptionist told us it is not quarantine floor and that the food were arranged for travel agents. We later read online and understand they used to be and might still be a quarantine hotel that offer quarantine service to people in shipping industry.) We went into the room and it was full of cigarette smell though we have requested for a non-smoking room. We went down immediately to ask for a change. We spoke to the same staff who assisted us less than 5 minutes ago and it felt like he didn’t remember anything about us. He later reallocated us to another floor. It looks ok when we went in till we settled in. We found and killed a total of 6 small cockroaches during our stay. We started reading google and found similar experiences from other travellers. We were lucky that our cockroaches were not that big and black! The shower area was choked and water couldn’t flow down. I personally also witnessed other travellers complaining at the reception as well. Avoid at all cost! The management should do something about it. Please temporarily shut it down for a period of time to do a deep cleaning and get pest control to kill the cockroaches! This is going to be my last stay here, we are not going back there again.

The rooms in this hotel were quite spacious even though it was a small space, the bed provided was really huge easily able to fit 2 parents and a small child. Hotels these days seem to go for that open concept look when it comes to the bathroom, the wall of the shower area is a clear glass panel, but it was comforting to know that there blinds provided for your privacy. The most exciting thing about this hotel is definitely the hot spring baths, there are 3 of varying temperatures and a suana, before you enter you can learn about the benefits of the hot spring bath as well! From my experience it was definitely relaxing and my complexion improved as well! There are lockers for you to store your belongings and just like any hot spring bath you HAVE TO SHOWER BEFORE YOU ENTER THE POOLS. Overall, I think this hotel is great for a weekend getaway after a stressful week at work, in terms of entertainment for the kids, there is are pools. Unfortunately nothing much else is near the area for family entertainment. If you're driving up to this hotel, there's a lot of parking space! Also considering it to be a fairly new hotel, the crowd hasn't come in yet. I would definitely re-visit this place.

The property itself is so so. Chic design but not really practical. Here's why. I've stayed here 5 times on separate occasions. The shower room is always flooded after 3-5 minutes of showering. I don't even know where to start with the front desk staff. If the face they put up there is that of when they're happy, I wouldn't want to know how they look like when they're not. Totally unprofessional. I've stayed in BnB's with better customer service. No smile, lack of energy and poor professionalism. Joking with each other infront of customers. The pool is, well a pool. (Note: Pool is shared with the condo residences. Though no one has moved in yet.) Nothing spectacular and just a basic design. The pool staff are quite cheerful and friendly. The in room fridge is barely cold. Yes, in all 5 rooms that I've stayed. On one of the occasions, there were boxes piled up infront of every room. SMH. Check out, no one wishes you goodbye or any greeting. Please train your staff. Especially the front desk ones. They are the face of your property the first line of service.

Where do I start? We stayed there from Fri to Mon.

Friday- Arrrived around evening & checked-in. No problem. As we entered the room, it looked shabby & dark. It's just my husband, myself and our daughter. We noticed only two towels in the bathroom, so hubby called Reception to request for another towel. Reception told us that, our towel is on its way. Waited, nothing. Got hungry, went for dinner. Came back, still no extra towel in sight. Hubby called again to request for towel, Reception once again said its on it's way. We waited for hours, no one came and we fell asleep while waiting for towel.

Saturday- Husband approached Reception & asked why wasn't the towel delivered. Reception said one room is only allowed to have two towels. Asked why didn't Reception told us the night before, so we don't have to wait for hours. Reception didn't apologize and repeated, 1 Room= 2 Towels. We came back around evening after a whole day of activities outside. Noticed that, cleaner did not leave the floor mat in our toilet, and the floor was cold with nothing to wipe our feet after we washed them or when we came out of shower. Called Reception, request for floor mat. Reception said its on its way. Waited for 1hr, nothing. Hubby called again to voiced his dissatisfaction to Reception. Reception said towel is on its way, we waited yet again for more than 30mins, nothing. I got upset, called Reception and scolded them for being incompetent. Less than 5mins, floor mat arrived and the staff from Housekeeping said he just received the request and Reception didn't tell them anything earlier.

Sunday & Monday- Decided not to request for room cleaning service because we are just tired of their incompetence at this point. Opted for express checkout so we don't have to deal with their incompetence.

Pros:- There's a lot of food court at the lower floor & there's also a Lotus hypermarket that's in within walking distance. The lowest floor have some sort of nostalgic hawker street food which are pretty nice.

You could validate car park ticket before you leave, so your parking is technically free.

Cons:- Lousy service. Be prepared to wait for hours if you request for something from Housekeeping. It might or might not arrive.

Dirty bed sheets & bed frame. There were stains on our pillows and headboard. Its horrific to see mouldy stains on white pillows, brownish stains on bedsheets, moulds and dirty stuffs at the back of mattress, and god-knows-what stains on the headboard. I felt like this is cheap motel than a resort.

Lumpy pillows. The pillows were so lumpy, we were having trouble sleeping. But decided to brave it through and enjoy our time in JB instead of thinking bout this shabby hotel.

1 Room= 2 Towels policy & Smelly Towels. If you have a child, please bring your own towels. They were very adamant on not giving us an extra towel. To add salt to injury, their towels smells horrible. It's as if they fold dirty wet towels and put it in new guests toilet. Yucky!!

Shabby Room- There's dirty marks on the entrance to the bathroom floor and the wallpapers were peeling of the walls. The TV was not working, we tried to switch to other channels, all we get is static, nothing. The pipe in the shower screen were half hanging, hubby was worried that, it would fall on our daughter, so he fixed it.

Premium price but Cheap service & room. Long Queuing line for elevator- We paid RM640 in total for 3nights stay in Super King Room, but felt that money is better spent on other hotels. If you are rushing, well, be prepared to wait for the lift and start queuing, because the wait is crazy.

If there's a Zero Star, I would give and rate Zero. There's nothing "wow" about this "resort". I think there's other hotels that charges similar or cheaper price with better environment and provides better service. This is my first and last time staying in this...

Dirty bath tub water. We booked this room specifically for the bath tub, but the water was brown (shown in photo). We tried using the handheld shower nozzle to fill the tub, but that water was yellow. We called the concierge, but they couldn’t do anything. They said it was due to the pipes and that a another guest had also called with the same complaint. They said it would only be fixed the next day (after we checked out) and they also were incapable of providing an alternative room. So, we were totally unable to soak during our stay. Dirty kettle. We noticed some dark green/black gunk smeared on the inside of the kettle. There were multiple chunks of this gunk stuck to the interior of the kettle, which I could scrape away with some effort but some bits were still left stuck. We called the concierge to request a new kettle, which they agreed to. But it never came, even after a second call. No slippers. Speaking of the useless concierge and garbage service, they also informed us that the entire hotel simply does not provide slippers at all. To clarify, it’s not that they were out of stock that day; it was that the hotel simply does not provide slippers for their guests. This is the first hotel I’ve come across that didn’t have this basic service. Closed hot springs. If you were thinking that the last saving grace of this hotel was their hot springs and you might still consider booking them for it, please save your money and don’t bother. The hot springs are closed. Their website said nothing about the closure, and when I emailed them a week prior to enquire about the hot springs they simply never replied. It seems the entire service team at KSL Hot Spring Resort is either incompetent or indifferent. Nevertheless, we snuck in to take a peek at the hot springs and it was… underwhelming to say the least. The tub’s tiling reminded me of toilets in tiny old apartments. At least the hot spring water smelled like sulfur, like authentic hot springs should. So I guess the one compliment I can give to this entire experience is that their hot spring water is as smelly as expected. “Resort swimming pool”. The swimming pool is so incredibly basic and subpar that I don’t have any other more mundane words to use to describe it. Why? One reason is probably because the pool is a SHARED pool. It’s actually the same pool used by the condo residents of the connected KSL Residences. It is NOT only for KSL Hot Spring Resort guests. Again, never seen this arrangement in my life before and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Bad location. There’s literally nothing interesting around and it’s in the middle of scenic nowhere.

In conclusion: horrible quality of service, grotesque quality of hygiene, laughable quality of amenities/items, and to top it all off it’s in the middle of nowhere. Spend your money elsewhere, do not give it to them because I guarantee you’ll get better returns and satisfaction by putting that money in Terra instead of KSL Hot...

Agoda dishonesty beware!! Tonnes of bad reviews for past 1yr for this hotel BUT only those good reviews 2-3yr long ago when the hotel was still brand new were published in Agoda site. Could not find that bad review i gave them at all and others’ bad reviews there!!!! Thats why i am here complaining!! Intentional misrepresentation of Agoda had caused me to book this hotel thinking i got a good deal $66sgd for a 8/10 hotspring 4* hotel but ended up in great disappointment. It should be a 4/10 three* hotel without any hotspring imo. I shall make my decision based on true unfiltered unbaised google reviews in future instead.

Hot spring facilities only available miserably from 5-9pm on weekday. Staff came 20min late at 5.20pm just to open the gate and many guests were already waiting. After that no staff manning outside the hotspring at all. I guess this is because everything inside this facility is not working. Lockers inside all not locking with their passwords. Hot spring pool is not hot at all, just normal temperature. Just expect normal jacuzzi. Water doesnt look clean to me. Witnessed at least 12 ladies came in and went out within 5min after knowing the “hot spring” doesnt exist at all within my 40min stay there to dip inside their disappointing normal jacuzzi and my bag placed right in front of it as there is no locker that works. I was like the only idiot there who had full jacuzzi there alone as all of them ran off! Even the suana is not working at all. No staff was outside to man this facility at all, I guess they shouldnt be there as everyone will complain to them abt everything that is spoilt inside here.

Bed, aircon ok ok Pillows deflated and “nua nua”. Shower & tap drainage super slow and seems choked. Ugly molds seen around the edge of the shower. Shower head sliding down and gotta hold myself, no hands-free Seen huge spider web and above my bed and thankfully no cockroaches seen unlike many reviews here. When lights was switch on, the exhaust fan was very noisy and disturbing.

Breakfast by the pool: Coffee very diluted and the instant one in room is way better. Spread of dishes not much but ok for me as i cant eat much. Food very average and edible.

Parking is good. Managed to park conveniently on ground floor...
