7 Nights Homestay — Local services in Johor

I recently stayed at this homestay and had a pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The location is a major plus, being conveniently close to a shopping complex (AEON), various shops, a dobi, McDonald’s, and even the Tebing area, where you can find food trucks, a night market, and fun activities for kids like train rides. It’s also close to a hospital, which can be helpful in case of emergencies. The Zone duty-free shop is about 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic, making it easy to reach.

The area itself is quiet, part of a newly developed neighborhood with a guard on duty, adding a sense of security. The homestay was fully equipped with everything you need – Wi-Fi, a microwave, water heater, washing machine, plates, cups, and complimentary 3-in-1 coffee. I also appreciated the iron/ironing board and the fact that there were two hairdryers. Body wash was provided in all bathrooms, and the water heaters and air conditioners worked perfectly.

Pros:

Cons:

• No qibla arrow in the unit for Muslim guests • The cups provided were not very kid-friendly • The ironing board was small, which made it difficult to iron larger clothing items like baju kurung or tudung. A larger, stand-up ironing board would be more convenient.

Our group of 18 had a delightful stay at this expansive Homestay, nestled in the serene outskirts of JB. The spacious accommodations featured a charmingly petite swimming pool and tasteful interior furnishings.

The property boasted a range of amenities, including a BBQ pit, Karaoke Room, Mahjong Table, and a well-equipped kitchen. While the setting didn't exude luxury, the amenities proved to be not only adequate but also highly entertaining for our entire group.

A standout feature was the inclusion of toilets in most of the bedrooms, eliminating any concerns about restroom availability or conflicts among guests.

The strategically placed and abundant air-conditioning units added to our comfort. Though one unit initially malfunctioned, 7 Nights Homestay promptly addressed the issue, sending a technician the next day. Remarkably, the same technician also attended to a minor incident involving a guest and a toilet door, swiftly ensuring everything was in proper order.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this homestay at Modern Deluxe Ville Iskandar. We paid RM1000 per night, yet the accommodation was unhygienic. We booked one of their 7-night stays, but the experience was far from satisfactory.

The bedsheets had hair on them, there were bugs on the floor, and the wardrobe was broken without any repairs. The bowls were greasy, and we even found dirty towels and carpet. When I saw the carpet, I couldn’t tell if it was the original design or if it was moldy. 😅😅

Overall, staying here was very uncomfortable and a terrible experience. We never expected to pay RM1000 per night and receive such poor conditions. Upon closer inspection, it felt like the management wasn’t putting much effort into maintaining the place; they were simply renting it out for profit. Very disappointing—definitely won’t be...
