The room costs us 192.07 sgd for 2 nights for a Family Suite. Upon entering, we were greeted by a hideous interior. The first thing we saw was a damp and dirty floor mat folded and placed on top of the toilet bowl. There was an empty soap bottle left on the railing. There were no towels, toilet paper, toothbrush and toothpaste provided. The liquid soap was not even half-filled in the two small bottles. An empty bottled water was left at the sink area. The coffee table was laced with a dirty runner and when it was removed, it revealed a large crack on the glass top of the table. The carpet underneath the coffee table was filled with dust and small remnants of tissue paper. We called reception to ask for 4 towels and a toilet paper. An hour later, and after two more phone calls, a housekeeper appeared at our door with only a piece of towel. He said he will come later with the rest of the towels as the ones available were not dried. We woke up at 5am and asked for the towels from the reception. The answer given was that they had been knocking on our door the entire night to pass us the towels requested. I wondered what time they were knocking as we slept at 11pm. However, the towels given at 5am were only 2 pieces and a toilet roll had yet to be given.| |By the way, upon check-in at the lobby the night before, 100 myr deposit was asked. We checked-out the next day and forfeited the 2nd night with no regrets. 192.07 sgd was paid for a valuable...
Read moreOne of the worst hotels I've stayed in comparison to money value.
Cost me almost SG$200.00 + the tax, but standard worst than Hotel 81.
Place looks like it has not been maintained for years, like a dead lot the moment you come into view of the hotel. Even the reception area is like a dead zone.
In pictures rooms look majestic but in reality the upkeep is horrible.
From non-function power points, to dangling wires, to lamps without bulbs, a hot water switch that does not produce hot water, a mini bar that is empty and not working, furniture with broken handles and parts, walls with cracks and damages, a horrible view outside the window, simply put the list goes on and on.
Extremely not worth the money paid for.
Receptionist is nice enough, feel sad for him to work in such a place. Must be quite depressing.
They really should take this hotel off the map, demolish and rebuild into something more worthy.
If you book via Agoda, you may see the recent reviews stating this hotel is one of the best and recommended etc.
I believe those are fake reviews as this hotel standard has declined for years.
I personally fell victim to it thinking the reviews were legitimate only to do further research after I checked in, that it is the worst of the lot.
Room cost me almost SG$200.00, but even Hotel 81 has got better upkeep and standards.
STAY AWAY EVEN IF YOU HAVE...
Read moreThis boutique hotel stands out in my Kg Melayu Majidee neighbourhood and never had the opportunity to check in until yesterday with my family.||I booked a Lavender family suite which comes with a King and Queen bed, and a living room. No doubt the deco lives up to its name - you'll discover the rooms and toilets tile flooring had a flower motifs, and the interior furnitures complement the theme.||We were served with welcome drinks and mix fruits after check in, which is nice. This hotel doesn't serve breakfast, but fret not because you can find local food stalls/restaurant within the vicinity, especially in Kg Melayu market (pasar). Go in front of the blue dome mosque as there are various choices of food stalls selling local food too. ||There is a swimming pool at level 4 which the younger one will enjoy it, and while you're watching them, you can take a helicopter view to surrounding village houses. ||One thing if I would recommend for an improvement is the front deck staff to look more professional as the first impression is very important to many people. Perhaps the management can consider to open a modern local coffee shop inside the building to make it more livelier at night. ||Overall experience was good and really recommend you to give a try if you like to explore the hustle and bustle of malay villages in the heart of JB city.||Sincerely,|Anak Kg....
