I stayed at the Marvelot Hotel in Kajang for 2 nights at the end of July as the 1st leg in our 5-week tour of SE Asia....||||The hotel is indeed newly built/renovated and the rooms are nicely decorated with very comfortable beds, good air-con and a great hot shower that was a real pleasure! Especially considering how much of a luxury this can be in some parts. One thing worth mentioning though is that out rooms did not have external windows.... To some this is good and to some it's bad, to me it made no difference as I like a dark room at night and on a 2-night stopover I wasn't concerned with a view.||||The bed linen was crisp white cotton with daily maid service and the whole place was very very clean. The free wi-fi works perfectly in-room and is a decent connection, ideal for uploading photos etc etc.||||The location is really the only thing I could knock it for as it's around 40mins from downtown KL and that is worth taking into consideration if you are planning a longer stay! We visited KL on 2 occasions and in all fairness it's quite simple just takes a little bit of time.... The best way is as follows:||||Taxi from corner of Kajang Bus Station (150m from hotel) to UKM train station (KTM Kommuter Line), purchase ticket to KL Central or KLCC from there for a few Ringgit (local currency, keep small notes & coins!!!) and hop on the regular train which runs every 20 mins or so! The trains run until about midnight so after then you will need to get a taxi from KL to the hotel (tell them Kajang Bus Station).... This shouldn't cost a lot, maybe 50RM which is roughly Β£10, not bad for a late night taxi journey taking around 45mins and includes toll road fees.||||||All in all a very pleasant stay and a great nights sleep thanks to a good comfortable bed and great...
Β Β Β Read moreA great value hotel with a great room/s, except the route to the hotel (but lets not mistaken it as worse, just not great).
The hotel located at a somewhat stategic location. At surrounding, there's many restaurant. There also a bus station and many print/photostat shop. There's a few convenience shop nearby as well.
If you have own transportation, food is your least concern as they are many restaurant in the region. Also, the hotel is near the LRT/MRT station, just by walking 5-10 minutes distance.
They also have a gaming(?) PC with curved monitor at lobby, which you can use for free but only for those who stay there.
Room is great, no negative review here from me. Toilet clean, no weird smell and the hot water is piping hot that you can cook eggs, including men's egg, joke aside.
Overall, its a very great stay with no...
