Ok, so Lonely planet says there are a few hotels around the bus station at Alor Setar in such a nonchalant way you'd think you could get a decent one. We were supposed to travel through but had had enough of the bus for the day so thought it woild be ok here. There are a number of cheap hotels around the bus station. Smoke eeked into the room and it was quiet dirty.
