This guesthouse is run by a very friendly and helpful family. I arrived at night after hours and they still cut open a fresh coconut for me to drink. They also helped me find a place to get an SD card for my phone. The guesthouse is not on the beach, but the surroundings are beautiful to wake up to. 😀 You can overlook a slice of the Adaman Sea (including seeing the green lights if fishing boats from a distance) and the airport (but there is no airport noise). Being a little away from the beach helped motivate me to visit most sides of the island (southwest: Cenang beach, dining, and shopping, as well as island hopping and sunset gazing. Northwest: cable car, 3D art museum, seven wells with waterfall. North/northeast: Tanjung Rhu beach, black sands beach (quick stop plus souvenir shopping in smaller stands), coffee at Tanjung Rhu resort -- even if I can't afford to lodge there. Northeast (father east): mangrove kayaking. Southeast: Kuah night market...). The guesthouse cost was very reasonable for having such a nice view. |It's a laid back, slow pace feel. You can buy breakfast on site for 5 MR. Arrange for transportation, includes renting a motorbike/motorcycle on site for 30 MR per day (manager usually will help with the process) or using an Uber driver (cheaper than a taxi). I didn't look into renting a car, but that is also an option. If you plan to spend most of your vacation in your hotel room, the rooms here are not super inspiring (but they are clean), but it is a great place to base out of while meeting friendly people and exploring...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They were always available and willing to help with anything—whether it was answering our questions, arranging something special, or simply making sure we were comfortable. Their quick and friendly assistance truly made us feel at home. The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, beautifully arranged, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a great choice for couples, families, or solo travelers who value comfort and a welcoming environment. The only minor point to note is that there isn’t a market nearby, but this was never an issue for us because the hotel provides everything necessary, and the staff are always happy to help with anything extra. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and felt completely relaxed. The combination of excellent service, friendly people, and a calm environment makes this hotel a perfect option for those looking for a pleasant and stress-free vacation. Great value for money! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area—you will...
Read moreThis is our temporarily homestay during our time in Langkawi. Beforehand, the person in charge told us they have a 'swimming pool' available for travellers but when we arrived, there's no pool, which is extremely disappointing for us since we're travelling as a family. Cleanliness of the place, nice but not on the pots and pans though (looks burned) Cleaning machine isn't working either and the stove gives out a really strong smell of gas when used. Rooms and bathrooms are acceptable but the air conditioner, really :/ they could've use a better one, and I'm not requesting much, at least have an air conditioner that doesn't BREAK DOWN several times everyday. Langkawi is a tropical island and it's devastating not to able to cool off yourself when you get back...
