Kopi Kampung Langkawi — Restaurant in Kedah

The service at this restaurant was extremely poor. We were a family of three on the table, and other diners who arrived after us received their food before we did. After a long wait, only one person at our table received their meal, and the rest of us were left waiting. When the food finally arrived, it was a huge disappointment.

Here are the specific issues we encountered with each dish:

• Roti Sarung Burung Daging: This was the first and only dish to arrive for the first 20 minutes. The beef on top was extremely cold and the entire dish was completely tasteless.

• Maggi Goreng: This dish arrived after a 30-minute wait, but the fried egg that was supposed to come with it was served 30 minutes earlier, with no courtesy to serve both together.

• Asam Ikan Pedas: The rice for this dish was served 20 minutes before the curry, similar to the egg scenario. It was clear this dish was cooked in a hurry—the vegetables were extremely raw and uncooked, and the curry was tasteless and horrible overall.

Based on our visit, it seems the online reviews are not reflective of the actual experience. The food and service were both terrible, and nothing could be rated higher than one star. We were one of the first tables to arrive and the restaurant was still mostly empty, so there's no excuse for the poor service and...

There’s dedicated parking space behind the restaurant, which is convenient and nice. Owner and staffs are all friendly and helpful. Food are delicious and have wide options of variety. We ordered Roti telur, Nasi lemak sotong tepung, nasi lemak ayam popcorn and nasi lemak fish and chip. Roti canai were nice and soft. They could improve their dhal sauce but with help of sambal, their roti canai dish wasnt a disappointment either. Nasi lemak is nice and aromatic, sambal were on the spicy side, for people who love spicy food and sambal, their portion of sambal could be insufficient (but considering how friendly the owner, maybe can just request for more!) Nasi lemak fusion with western dishes like fish and chip, chicken chop were interesting idea tho!

Price also weren’t that expensive, would say it’s on affordable price and worth with the taste. We spent RM 79 for 7...

A cafe with kampung vibes! I had the pleasure of dining at Kopi Kampung Cafe and was truly impressed. The lontong I ordered was absolutely delicious – rich, flavourful, and authentically local. The menu offers a great mix of both local and western dishes, so there’s something for everyone.

The interior is beautifully decorated in a charming kampung-style, which adds a nostalgic and cozy feel to the dining experience. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to enjoy good food in a relaxing, homey setting. Bonus point – there’s ample parking space, making it super convenient for visitors.
