This hotel was absolutely terrible. The staffs aren’t well trained, and lack skills in communicating with guests. Check in was ok, but they only provided one keycard. We were a group of 2 people with separate itineraries and needed 2 separate keycards for our trip and convenience. This only caused us much hassle. We had tried to request if a duplicate keycard was possible, but were just told that “they don’t provide a second keycard”.
A single elevator serves the entire hotel of 6 floors.
The ironing boards and irons are outside the hotel rooms in a common area and are in terrible condition. It is very inconvenient, and we felt like it was a broke college student dorm room instead of a hotel. There was also only one single miserable clothes hanger in a room that was for 2 guests.
The telephone in the room didn’t work. The instant water heater didn’t work. And when we asked the front desk about this, we were told that “their phones don’t work” no explanation, what so ever as if this is standard practice. About the water heater, the front desk staff did come to our room to check on it. But all he could do was to press the ELCB switch a few times and then the reset button a few times until the heater light turned on. Apparently that was the maintenance work. An ELCB tripping that many times in an instant water heater should raise red flags.
The bedsheet and duvet were dirty and stained. But credit given where they are due, the beds were comfortable. The towels, and floor mat stained and worn.
The room was a horrible shade of red. They even painted over their air conditioning. Air conditioning isn’t centralised, but the remote for it has been removed from the room, so you can’t adjust the temperature.
The bathroom was spacious but lacked amenities besides a small bottle of shower gel and shampoo.
The drinking glasses in the room were crusty and clearly have never been washed in perhaps forever.
At check in, we were told that breakfast was from 7:30am to 10am. But at 8am the next day, we received a phone call from a local mobile phone number with no introduction what so ever and just told to come down for breakfast immediately. No explanations whatsoever. Coincidentally, we were on our way to breakfast and arrived at 8am to an empty buffet. The food had run out, but other guests (seemed like a tour group of some sort) had occupied every available table. The staff did come and refill some fried rice and once we got our food, there was nowhere to sit. We told the staff and the front desk staff that we were told to come down for breakfast but there’s no available table. All they did was stare at us blankly and continued their conversation with no regards to us. A second attempt at requesting assistance was met with a response of being told to “just wait”.
We waited till some guests left, the whole time (~20min) we stood there with our plates of food. Once the guests left, we sat at the table that we had to clear ourselves. The breakfast nasi lemak served the second day of our stay was quite good, but not good enough to want to make us stay here again.
Parking is limited, and the parking bays too short for a regular sedan. Not sure why. At best, only a hatchback could fit properly into their marked space. A sedan or anything bigger would be a tight fit between the marked space and the culvert.
I have never been more excited to check out and leave a hotel in my life. Will not stay here again. Any kind of savings isn’t worth this kind of service or...
Read moreA motorsports' themed hotel that could have been more interesting, maybe even fun as they are quite close to the Sepang International Circuit, if there had been any semblance of service or care of their paying overnight guests! A lot of money for extremely poor service!
The best service was Sunday morning as they knew we were taking their shuttle to the track and wanted to store our luggage. A nice young man made sure our luggage was held at the desk and that we made it out to the shuttle. He was the only service-related bright spot!
This was a last minute decision as we only decided to attend this year's MotoGP a week before and were coming in on Friday and leaving Sunday after the race. I read the mixed reviews but thought with breakfast included and the proximity to the track it might be worth a shot - wrong!
We arrived Friday evening and walked into an event being held in their open-concept dining room/event space. The sound system for the event was so loud you could not hear the less-than-welcoming front desk staff. We got checked-in and then, "oh, by the way, the lift is broken and they cannot repair until Tuesday and your room is on the 3rd floor - Okay?" We are in our 60s and although in good health, three flights of stairs with luggage was a bit much! No offer of assistance!
No food available, despite the flyer stating that Friday and Saturday night they have a BBQ special. No, not that night due to the event. No, not Saturday night as they also had an event and had therefore run out of food! Okay then can we get food delivered, "yes, go on-line". There are a few restaurants a five to ten minute walk away, but it was dark and raining. No convenience stores or anything next to hotel. A Sheraton is supposedly being built next door and a complex with little shops being built just behind it.
Sunday morning, go for breakfast at 7:30 (breakfast 7 to 10) and they had run out of all food items except for baked beans and beef rendang.
We had the queen-themed room - it was clean, a decent size and the bed and pillows offered a good night's sleep. BUT, the windows do not seal tightly, so noisy; poor TV channel selection - they do not even carry the sports channels that show the events at the Sepang Circuit; mold on gasket around refrigerator door; pad by phone consisted of ONE sheet of paper; unsharpened pencil; no hair dryer in room; only would give one room key ("as we are full"); one pair of slippers; two hangers; half roll of toilet paper with no extra roll to replace it; DID have kettle to heat water, coffee and tea bags plus two mugs; DID provide two bottles of water each day; only trickle of water from sink faucet overnight; no drainstopper for sink; and shower a wet room (no separate shower or even a curtain).
Saturday evening we returned and room key doesn't work. Gentleman coming down hall, uses his key and says it is OK I work here!
When we asked if they could call a taxi for us they handed us a card and said, "call them!"
Have stayed at worse hotels, but this by far, was one of the worst ever as far as customer service and lack of respect for...
Read moreOne of the worst hotels I've ever been. ||||It is located in the middle of nowhere. You will need to have a car to access the food and amenities 3km away as the surrounding “shops” appeared to be closed for good. The F&B section was closed and looked like a warehouse.||||The lobby, lift and corridors to rooms were hot, humid and stuffy as the aircon were shut off. The hotel appeared empty as we seem to be the only handful of guests there. The hotel appeared to be managed by only two boys who appeared not to be trained in hospitality. Very thing else appeared to be outsourced, as we had problems with aircon and had to change rooms four times to get one that was working. Apparently, the housekeeper or maintenance guys were not in-house.||||The bathroom flooded very time I showered. I got beaten by some bugs and had to spray antibug on bed. The bedsheet of one of the beds had a large brown stain right in the middle. How can the housekeeper allow such dirty bedsheet to be use at all? Toiletries and water bottles were not replenished and rooms were not cleaned till we...
