This was not my first stay, however I noticed that the “script” the front desk staff go through was very rigid. For example citing the warning/reminder on not smoking in the room, or taking the slippers provided out of the room. It was almost as though almost all of their guests consistently ignore such reminders.
And to insist on a RM50 refundable deposit for an extra room key card was also irritating. Three of us stayed in the 4 bedded room with only one key card. When 2 of us wanted to go out leaving 1 person in the room, naturally we would leave the key card with him. But the ones that went out couldn’t get the lift back up as you’d need the key card to click on the appropriate floor in the lift!
The room had 2 TV sets but the screens were bad and the volume changes up or down as you scroll the channels. It’s just as good as not having any TV in the room.
The 24 hours recorded chirping noise from a nearby bird farm (birds nest farm) kept us up as the room was located at the front end of the hotel. But I have stayed previously in a room at the back end of the hotel where the noise from the indoor fountain made getting a good nights rest difficult as well.
I will probably still stay at this hotel when I’m in the area, but I really wish those things listed above could be resolved. Then this hotel would be a much better facility...
Read moreWe booked a stay at Melang Inn Kuala Pilah through Agoda for a Family Room with 1 Queen and 2 Single bed for the night of November 9th, 2024. The reason for our stay was that my child had a hockey game nearby on the morning of November 9th.
On Tuesday, November 6th, a friend informed us that many people would be staying in Kuala Pilah on the night before the game, on November 9th. So we decided to make an additional booking through Agoda for the night of November 8th. We managed to get a Superior Room with 2 beds for that night. The plan was to check out early before the game, and then return to the hotel to check in again for our original booking on November 9th.
When we arrived, the receptionist kindly offered us an upgrade to a suite room with a living room and a jacuzzi! Who could say no to that?
So here we are, enjoying our stay. After the game, we were quite exhausted, so we decided to order room service. The kids had butter milk chicken, while we enjoyed rice with black pepper beef and sambal squid. The food was delicious, and we were thoroughly satisfied.
For breakfast, we also ordered room service. We had big breakfasts, soft-boiled eggs, pancakes with chicken curry, and Singapore-style fried vermicelli. Everything was delicious, and we were satisfied and full until checkout.
Thank you very...

After 6 years.. We decided to have a stay in this hotel hoping to receive its best service as previous stay.. But it was so disappointing..
First time check-in the room... The floor was full of dusts.. To the point where you can see your sole of feet were coated with thick dusts.. Like it wasn't cleaned for so long before guest check-in...managed to call room service and ask them to clean the dusty floor.. They apologized but still very disappointing.. Even when the room service lady was sweeping the floor, thick wools of dusts start to compile... Definitely.. It shows that the room was not serviced prior to our check-in
And mind you...Even if the room was for 4 people... The toiletteries, coffee sets, slippers were provided for only 2 people.. Well.. This is the first hotel that I have ever received such limited toiletteries/coffee sets/slippers for guests..
Anyhow despite the bad welcome of the dusty room... The staff still greet us politely and helped to carry our luggages to the room eventhough we didn't request for it... As we have less manpower to carry all at once... Beds are comfy...
Just the bathroom is quite see through... So think twice if you loved privacy... Searched for a room with private bathroom (as in built with wall...
