Located in the heart of Port Dickson, this hotel offers the perfect mix of convenience and tranquility. With restaurants, shops, gas stations, and clinics all nearby, you’re never far from what you need. Yet, once you step into the hotel, it feels like a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle. It’s spacious, well-designed, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm welcome set the tone for our stay. A porter was ready to assist with our luggage, and check-in was swift, likely due to our weekday visit. Although we initially booked a king deluxe room, we switched to one with a bathtub without any extra charge—just a change in bed size to two super singles. The room itself was impressive, with a stunning view of the expansive pool and private beach. The balcony, though lovely, didn’t have chairs to relax in—something I’d love to see added to all rooms. Additionally, the balcony could use a bit of attention in terms of cleanliness, as there were some bird and lizard droppings.Inside, the room was spacious and well-equipped, with a generous closet, safe, iron, ironing board, and even an extra pillow. You’ll also find a small refrigerator, water heater, television, and a comfy lounge bed by the window. The bed was incredibly soft, and the lighting created a soothing atmosphere. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the prayer rug and Qibla direction. The bathroom came stocked with basic toiletries, but they weren't replenished during our stay, so it’s worth bringing your own. However, towels were replaced daily. One thing to note is that the bathroom floor is level with the room, meaning shower water tends to spill over, making the space a bit slippery. The bathtub, though convenient, looked a little worn, and the water flow wasn’t very strong. An unexpected downside was the lack of a carpet or mat on the floor. It was quite chilly, especially when the room air-conditioning was on, so it’s a good idea to bring slippers or socks. The swimming pool, on the other hand, was a standout feature. Large and with varying depths, it’s perfect for guests of all ages. Safety is a priority, with lifeguards on duty, but it’s always wise to keep an eye on children, especially near deeper areas. There are also rentable floats, but the prices are a bit steep, so I recommend bringing your own. Plenty of umbrella-shaded spots around the pool offer the perfect place to relax. The hotel also offers a children’s playground, a field for running around, and a mini animal farm, though I didn’t get a chance to explore the animals. The private beach is clean and perfect for lounging, swimming, or enjoying the view. That said, I was a bit unsettled by a group of dogs that roamed the beach and hotel grounds. It would be reassuring if the hotel could address this for safety reasons. For entertainment, the hotel offers ATV rides, karaoke, arcade games, and movie screenings on weekends. The children’s room could use an upgrade, though—the toys are outdated, and adding a TV with children’s programs would liven up the space.Breakfast was a highlight of our stay—delicious and varied, ensuring there was something new every day. I was especially touched when the chef and staff celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a cake, a birthday song, and a box of chocolates—such a thoughtful gesture! All in all, this hotel offers a great experience, but with a few improvements, it could easily become even better. The friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful details made our stay memorable, and we’ll definitely consider returning...

With restaurants, shops, gas stations, and clinics nearby, you’ll have everything you need within reach. But once you walk through the doors, it feels like a quiet escape from the busy city. It’s spacious, stylish, and has a lot of charm.
From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. A porter helped with our bags, and check-in was quick, probably because we came on a weekday. Although we originally booked a king deluxe room, we were able to switch to one with a bathtub at no extra cost, just with a change in the bed size to two super singles.
The room was impressive, with a great view of the large pool and private beach. The balcony was nice, but apparently sitting isn’t a priority. It’s pretty basic to have chairs, especially when other rooms have them. Not asking for much, just a simple expectation. Additionally, the balcony needs proper cleaning as there were bird and lizard droppings, which is unhygienic and not good for health.
Inside, the room was roomy and well-stocked, with a big closet, safe, iron, ironing board, and even an extra pillow. You’ll also find a small fridge, water heater, TV, and a comfy lounge bed by the window. The bed was comfortable, and the lighting was relaxing. I also appreciated the little touches like the prayer rug and Qibla direction.
The bathroom had the basics, but we didn’t receive any fresh toiletries during our 3 days & 2 nights stay. Since the toiletries are in small sizes, just enough for a day, it’s important to be topped up regularly. Towels, however, were replaced every day.
The bathroom floor is level with the room, causing water to spill everywhere and making it slippery. The bathtub also looked a bit worn, and the water flow wasn’t very strong.
Another issue was the lack of a carpet on the floor, which made it chilly, especially with the AC on.
The pool was a big highlight, though. It’s huge, with different depths, making it perfect for everyone. There are lifeguards around for safety, but always keep an eye on kids near the deeper parts. You can rent floats, but they’re pretty expensive, so it’s better to bring your own. There are also lots of shaded spots by the pool to chill.
The hotel has a playground for kids, a field to run around in, and a mini animal farm, though I didn’t have time to check out the animals. The private beach is clean and great for lounging, swimming, or just enjoying the view. I was really concerned about a group of dogs wandering the beach and hotel grounds. For safety reasons, it would be great if the hotel could do something about this.
For fun, the hotel offers ATV rides, karaoke, arcade games, and movie nights on weekends.
The kids' room is spacious and has plenty of cupboards, but they’re all empty. Because apparently, kids are supposed to enjoy an empty room? Please add some toys—it's kind of what makes it a kids' room. And maybe throw in a TV with kid-friendly programs to make it a bit more fun.
Breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay—lots of tasty options with something new each day. I was really touched when the chef and staff celebrated my daughter’s birthday with a cake, a song, and a box of chocolates—it was such a nice surprise!
Overall, this hotel gave us a great experience. With a few small improvements, it could be even better. The friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful touches made our stay memorable, and we’ll definitely think about...
Read moreReturning back for updated review, 1 of the best hotels in Port Dickson that everyone has to experience with 5 stars facilities. And their services are excellent they make all the guests feel like VVIP & not to mention abundant of delicious breakfast buffet 😋in Fresh Restaurant at the pool side. But however I cannot say the same for my second trip here. Went during a school holiday to treat our kids to a nice beach vacation. Maybe because of the high crowds of guests, this time, the waiting time for the lifts were so long. Looks like they need to do some maintenance to them. The receptions girl who managed 1 of the check in counter told me the elevator is workinv fine. After more than 10 minutes of tiring wait, as our room is on the level 5, finally, the elevator's door was opened. When we wanted to enter the room, there was a woman from the housekeeping team who just came out from our room, seemed like they just cleaned the room. She explained with a warm smile that they were just checking the room ; if we need anything, just call the housekeeping. Upon entering i was initially pleased to see the room conditions as it came with a bathtub which is a plus fun for the kids. And they have really good TV coverage with cool interesting channels that will not leave you bored. But however, they forgot to provide bath towels for us like any standard hotels do. So I requested towels for us from the housekeeping from the QR on my side table. They took note & said will send them shortly But they took sooo long to come. My kids wanted to shower & we wanted to go out from the room to do our activities BUT because of the missing towels, we wasted our times waited for them. By the time lt eventually arrived, a foreign workers came to our door but was trying to make things complicated for us. I demanded to speak with his manager, luckily the manager was nice, attentive & apologize & explained that the worker is new & he's still learning. In spite of my annoyance & frustration as our time wasted, I cooled down a bit as the housekeeping woman was very polite & apologetic. Their staffs are generally polite, attentive & professionals but just a bit disappointed with 1 staff from the Fresh Green restaurant on the last night of our stay. As I wanted to order food for my kids. But as I just came from swimming like most of the guests she gave me a very unpleasant look that made me feel uneasy. She can just tell me politely to wait outside or come outside immediately to take my orders. Her name is Syaifa, I think she forgot me because I remembered her as the 1st time I came to Thistle, she approached me at my table during breakfast time & asked me to scan a QR to make a review on the hotel 🏨. Overall our stay for the 2nd time had some unpleasant experiences but this is still an excellent hotels with great facilities, kids friendly activities, we enjoyed the arcades & ball pool 🎱, amazing seaview & very near beachfront with...
