Upon arrival at 6.30pm, there was still available tables. Probably half are occupied. The atmosphere feels like a family settings. Also, available air-conditioned room. However, due to the mass crowds, we were told beforehand that food orders will be out late than usual. It is the Holidays, understandable. They have runned out of crabs, which is a downside. I was really hoping on having some crab for dinner.
After about 45mins, order arrived nicely.
Overall Fair-Good.
Other than that, people started to wait by the table looking hungry like they wanna attack the table as we are finishing our last dish. Not that we are rude or anything, but sorry they are going to have to wait for awhile. Patience is a virtue. By the way I did mentioned it is the holidays right. Anyways, put feeling aside I know the limit of patience I am human too don't judge me. We fairly enjoyed eating there
I'd recommend to go for the prawn & mixed vege and ice cream.
Finally, I'd suggest if the eatery setup a waiting line so that id be more sufficient and not akward, and doesn't get in the way of the waitress and...
Read moreDelicious food at affordable prices. We ordered a fish, salted egg squid, 2 vegetables and a pork, with rice. Love the fish and squid. Fresh and cooked perfectly. Portions were just nice as well for the price. Staff were friendly and attentive. Extremely popular amongst locals - some come here for daily meals; some come for celebrations - so best to avoid dinning at peak meal times. Otherwise, you may have to queue and wait especially on weekends and PHs. Kind of laid back, unpretentious ambience, like kampung. They would prefer to let their food speak for themselves, I believe. There's two dining areas - non-aircon and an enclosed aircon section. We were seated at the non-aircon dining area. Not hot at all. In fact very cooling as there were plenty of ceiling fans. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the large amount of flies! It was quite bothersome to have to keep chasing/flipping them away thru' out the meal, thus spoiling the whole experience too - which was a real pity. I hope they do something about it as it's something which have been brought up by many Google reviewers before. Ample parking available - in front of and beside the eatery. They also sell a small selection of snacks, like biscuits and crackers. Family and...
Read moreWeng Yin Seafood Village Restaurant occupied a single-storey building with the left section being air-conditioned.
We ordered the following food:
• Kampong Chicken@RM47 2 nos. (RM94) • Three Flavoured Fish (RM93) • Lala Soup (RM42) • Salted Egg Sotong (RM48) • Sing Kong Tau Foo (RM22) • Salted Egg Omelet (RM20) • Kam Heong Bamboo Clams (RM45) • Sweet Potato Leaves (RM17) • Curry Coconut Prawn (RM60) • Loh Hon Koh with Water Chestnut drink@ RM13. 2 jugs (RM26) • Rice (RM10) • Misc (RM13)
Overall, the food was delectable. Of particular mention was the Three Flavoured Fish which was stellar. The Salted Egg Sotong could be better if it was crispier. The Water Chestnut with Loh Hon Koh drink was good too. To me, the coconut for the curry prawn was only for show as the coconut was too small to hold all the contents and half of the curry prawn was in a separate bowl. We ordered a bit too much food, perhaps because we were feeling quite hungry at the time of ordering.
At the end of the lunch at about 2.45pm, we wanted to try the coconut ice cream sold at the kiosk at the car park but unfortunately, it was closed by then.
The total bill came up to RM490 for...
