Chengal Resort is truly a gem, with its charming design, unique architecture, and peaceful ambience. We especially enjoyed the quiet surroundings, where the sounds of nature felt like pure blessings. We love the riverside chalet, it’s nice even needed some revitalisation.

If I may share a few suggestions for enhancement, perhaps in the future, the resort could look into light maintenance work, particularly on the wooden structures to preserve their colour and condition, as well as a little extra attention to cleanliness to keep dust and small animal traces (like from lizards) at bay. Adding privacy tinting to the riverside chalet windows could also be a nice touch for guests’ comfort.

Overall, we had a memorable and relaxing experience, and we look forward to returning...

This is a cosy retreat run by warm and friendly people. Accommodation for all budget sizes. Or you can rent the whole retreat for your exclusive use.

We held an engagement ceremony at this retreat last weekend and everything went well. Thanks to the owner, Nik Azmi Nik Hassan, his family and staff. The traditional Balai (hall) is extremely versatile. Airy and with ample space.

The field could be used to hold kenduri or whatever one desires. There are Coleman tents that could be rented as well as barbeque equipment.

There may be 'cheaper' facilities elsewhere. Or with more bells and whistles. But we were very satisfied with this place and felt heavy-hearted when leaving. Hopefully we will come again...

A quiet and private place for a perfect weekend getaway with either friends or family! It is just about an hour’s drive from KL.. slightly further in to be compared with other retreats or chalets. Friendly and welcoming staffs.

Tips: There is a bbq pit, you can ask the staff to start the fire for you. They work only until 6pm so be sure to let them know in advance if you want to do a bbq.

There is no place for you to get food at the venue. You either drive out or bring your own food supplies. Communal Fridge is available but you’ll have to work to your chalet.

Parking is either in the...
