To resort manager Azuera Pawanchek ,
I know you are reading review from here. Honestly I think this resort have a lot of potential to grow. I've checked in on last Saturday to celebrate my sons birthday and I booked the room with Seaview. For me there are some improvements that can be done by the resort management.
Pros: Near to the beach. Beach is clean thanks to the staff whom clean it every morning. Unfortunately the water tides were too strong during our stay. Large swimming pool for kids. Maybe the largest resort swimming pool for kids in Malaysia. My kids are enjoying it. The resort has peace and calm environment. Suitable for those who wanted to spend their holiday. The staff are friendly and well trained. Worth of money. MYR 200-300++ only compared to other resorts. Food are tasty. Prawn taste sweet and fresh inside . Breakfast and bbq dinner are awesome. Saturday night Fire show are enjoyable to watch. My kids really love it.
Cons: Curtains at my room a bit dirty. This maybe just a small issue but still customer can see it through their naked eye. The toilet sink is rusty. Better use other material since it is dangerous for kids. The luggage trolley are also rusty. Phone at my room is not functioning at all . We have to Google and call receptionist through mobile phone. Some of the tiles at the kids swimming pool are already uprooted. It is dangerous and potentially will hurt to those whom accidentally step on it. You have to check it regularly. Receptionist promise to send me a lighter upon request but no one come. I also have to call receptionist two three times just to request for additional mineral water. Understaff especially the bellboy. Not so much activities at night. The beach light is also very dim at night. No shower station near to the beach. Adult swimming pool a little bit deep for average Malaysian.
Suggestion:
More activities near the beach eg ATV ride, playing kite, cycling, riding horse, kayaking, surfing, jet ski etc. Convenience shop. The resort location are very secluded and far from the Kuala Rompin town. To have shop will accommodate guests better. Souvenir shop also can be considered. Spa: It will added value to the resort. Some guests needed it to rejuvenate their body and mind. Beach bar: Not necessarily served alcoholic beverages. Maybe some juice and non alcoholic drinks. Just a place for relaxing and enjoy the beautiful beach scenery. Menu: promoting food that are synonymous with Rompin eg lobster, MD2 pineapple and fresh seafood can be added to the ala carte menu. Place plastic chair near to the kids swimming pool so that parents can monitor their kids better without much hassle.
I realize that this resort is the same company whom managed Espira Kinrara and are also under PNB. I hope that the management can maintain the high standards so that customers will come again in the future. Overall I'm happy and enjoy my stay. Travelling far from Kuala Lumpur it really worth every penny. I didn't regret at...
Read moreI am extremely sad to put a 1 star review with this resort, as I had fond memories as a kid here. However, I have to share my thoughts and experiences as I was absolutely repulsed with the hygiene standards in Lanjut Beach Resort guest's rooms.
We arrived on 08/12/2020 and checked in around 5pm. 10 minutes after receiving the key from the temporary reception (located in the meeting halls due to refurbishment) we arrived at the front corridor of our rooms (2141 & 2142). Specs of dusts and debris welcomed us right outside of our rooms.
After opening the doors we could smell an unpleasant odour coming from one our bathrooms - it was in room 2141. The landline phone in room 2141 was not functioning and I had to call the reception in my parents'room in 2142. Red flags were immediately raised.
We contacted reception for a change of rooms, but they were late in passing the new keys to the new Rooms. When they did the staff just passed it on to me and left immediately - I had to chase him downstairs near the main foyer and ask him to guide me where the new rooms were located.
Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the condition of the new Rooms, i.e. 2173 & 2174. Both rooms were no different from our initial rooms.
As a solution, we asked housekeeping to come and see whether they can tidy up the mess in the first place.
After further inspection, we could see crumbs and dusts from the previous guests all with our naked eye - all brushed underneath the tables and bed frames. In addition, one of the twin beds in room 2141 had yellow stains and there was a bed bug on one of the pillows. We asked the housekeeper to change all of the bed sheets and spray the room with insecticide.
A crack on the walls; huge stains beside the beds; handprints and lipstick stains on the sliding doors; and thick water stains in the showers exacerbated our high expectations of this '4 Star' resort. For the icing on the cake, there's a big stain on the chair. It was the last straw for me.
I am absolutely mortified with the standards of cleanliness of this resort. They don't even provide vacuum cleaners for the housekeepers to clean the rooms.
It is truly a shame to have these opened up for business. It has made me skeptical to think that they even bothered to properly sanitize the property - which they may have did. A proper revamp of the basic hotel standards needs to be properly looked at rectified.
In addition, management should learn and improve in their services and take a immediate action with the room's conditions. Sadly to say, not...
Read moreNot the best stay. The room was okay, not perfect, marks on the bedding, mold around the sink and a general musty smell. One of the shower heads has probably never been cleaned.
When checking in they tried to charge the tourism tax again when it had already been paid upfront. It isn’t the guests job to point this out.
The WiFi kept dropping. Loud banging from people upstairs. Some bloke banging on the balcony door thinking it was his mates room. Doors slamming. Music playing in the corridor at 9 in the evening which isn’t particularly relaxing - more of a 1980s gimmick. Hardly a peaceful place.
A staff member wearing an apron and gas mask was throwing some chemical in the pool whilst people were in the restaurant - you could smell and feel it in your mouth. Hardly safe for guests! The pool is apparently under renovation. There was little evidence of it, it looked dirty with broken tiles on the floor of it.
Restaurant food was okay if a little pricey. There is absolutely nothing around the area, so you’ll need a car or taxi to get supplies etc.
Breakfast was good. However, there was a member of staff at the “Egg of the day” counter giving the impression you could perhaps “order” say fried eggs - no, they simply pointed to the container with scrambled eggs/omelette, but within that are vegetarian and non vegetarian options - so it’s potluck what you pick out! The restaurant is mainly open and birds were freely eating from the serving utensils!
Housekeeping staff were good and gave us water etc. even though we opted not to have the room actually cleaned.
Would I stay again? Probably not, overall it just wasn’t a great experience.
What’s more disappointing is the replies to negative reviews. Just the same standard text copied every time. A sign that nothing will actually change, just a...
