We had 2 out of the 14 or 16 bunkbeds (devided into rooms with 4 or 6 beds) available at 330 RM for 3 nights. You have to pay in cash and there's no ATM in town, so come prepared. This is definitely a backpacker budget option, but it offers all you actually need. Despite having the road and port right in front, it was surprisingly quiet.

Note: there is no guarantee to sleep in the same room. Groups of 2 might have a chance, bigger ones are usually split.

There are 3 toilets and 3 showers with sinks, more than enough so that there's never a waiting line. You can use the sink and soap for dishes outside. Free cold and hot water refill and tea or coffee on the terrace. This is also the common area, with comfortable chairs and a great view on the river and Jason's favourite spot.

He's a help- and resourceful guy with years of experience when it comes to the forest and what backpackers need. His organized night tour was great and he offers the best prices in town for the long trek. When our shoes were soaking and wouldn't dry he had a shoe-hairdryerish tool to accelerate the process. He sells sodas and beers for reasonable prices 3/12 RM) as well.

I guess years of short and superficial contacts must be hard, but he was always friendly and engaged! Thanks for everything and wish you...

Would highly recommend this place if you’re going to Taman Negara - the rooms are super clean, and Jason, who manages the hostel, is a brilliant host, who remember everyone’s names. The facilities are simple but well looked after -the beds were comfy and the air con was great! Would 100% stay here again if I came back to Tama Negara. Me and my girlfriend felt very at home!

The tours were much smaller (and a bit cheaper) than if you book with one of the big travel agencies that run the buses to the national park, which meant they were more personable and enjoyable. The guides were excellent, especially our night walk guide!!! NKS and Han travel will stop you in Jerantut and try to sell you tours as you swap buses, but Jason had already sent us through his options so we knew they were better.

The hostel is in a great location - just seconds from the floating restaurants and the boat taxis that take you across the river to the national park. It’s social but in a very chill way - it was nice to sit with the other guests after a hike, have a drink and discuss what animals we saw in the park! Thanks...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at WILD LODGE, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in a breeze.

Accommodation: The room was immaculate and well-appointed, with clean and comfortable bedding, and a stunning view of Tahan river. The attention to detail in the decor created a cozy atmosphere. Owner is responsible for cleaning the toilet and he makes sure toilet is spotless. ❤️❤️❤️

Service: What really set this hotel apart was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions.

Location: The hotel's location was perfect, offering easy access to mini market, restaurant, activity. It was convenient for exploring the area yet tranquil enough for a restful retreat.

Overall, my experience at WILD LODGE was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Kuala Tahan. I look forward to returning on...

Very good value! We paid 330 RM for 2 persons for 3 nights in a 4-people dorm. We were quite lucky that our roommates were doing an overnight tour the first day, so we even had the room to ourselves ! Jason is super nice and helpful, he offers to store the backpacks as the rooms don’t have any locker. He organises some tours to the jungle, which are very good! We did the night walk, we were only a group of 4 people and our guide was super cheerful and showed us cool birds and insects (with all the groups doing tours, it’s too loud for bigger animals). The rooms have AC and a fan, as well as a shelf to put out the stuff. For being a hostel on the side of the road, it is surprisingly quiet at night!

Wild Lodge is conveniently located next to the river which allows a wonderful view from your room. In terms of amenities there are showers and toilets are sufficient so there's no wait required for you to freshen up. There are filtered water and boiling water to make coffee/tea in the communal hang out area at the front of the place. You can buy beers or soft drinks after a day of exploring as well for a very reasonable price. Jason, the owner, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and can provide you with tips for your entire stay including organzing tours with care. We highly recommend Wild Lodge to anyone and hopefully can make it back here again in the future.
