Familia Motel — Hotel in Perlis

My original plan was to stay here with a friend but once i paid and checked in and seeing the poor condition of this motel, i called my friend to find other better place to stay in Kangar and closer to the town (this motel is far from the town, about 5-6k to reach the town because i didnt travel with a car but thank god for the Grab service which limited around the town). So i braved through the nightmare for 3 days and 2 nights.||||The receptionists of the motel are men from the Middle East and i dont think they can speak Malay and their English are barely understandable.||||I had been to cheaper motels in Malaysia before (ie a room with only RM30 per night in Kuching) but nothing prepared me for this overly-run-down place with a price of about RM140 for 2 nights.||||I booked a room for two (in my booking sheet i supposed to get two separate beds) and was given a room with a queen bed instead without window (actually almost all rooms have no windows eventhough i saw rooms with windows in the promo pictures) on the 1st floor of the motel. There are 5-6 guestrooms on the 1st floor (upper floor).||||Imagine being stuck up in a small dirty room without a window for 3 days.||||The room - i had a problem finding my room because my room was the only one without a number- hillariously i found the number written on a little sheet of paper inside the room on the floor. The room has dirty old carpet, a bed with lizard's droppings, bedsheet full of stains, aircond with water leaked out of it, the room was too small for me to do the prayers, with no kiblat's direction in the room. Not to mention ceiling near the ceiling lamp almost falling down.||||The lcd TV inside the room is not functional at all and being put in the room as a decoration. Worst the remote control given to me was without batteries 🤣😭😭😭 . Thank god the aircond's remote control was ok.||||More thanks to god i remember to bring a cable with longer wire to charge my cellphones and powerbank because the plug was too far high.||||The whole upper building is super hot without airconditioner and you need to ask for permission to get to the pantry which is situated downstairs (meaning the guests staying upstairs almost have no access to free drinks).||||The bathroom - there are 3 bathrooms with a toilet inside but without hot shower. There is another 1 but very old bathroom with a hot shower but without a toilet. All these 4 bathrooms are quite dirty.||||I dont think the management of this motel knows the concept of cleanliness because the upper floor and the front door outside the motel are dirty with dusts and not being sweep off. You can get better hotel with rm138 per night. Room to small..Kami terpaksa booking ptg hari yg sama we check in, so no choice because off school holidays..Bilik berbau cat yg kuat sehingga sakit kepala..

No lift if you have kids and luggages you have to go downstairs berkali²😉😅😅..Not suggested if you have kids

CON: I read the review before saying that the toilet is at outside, so I try to call the hotel for confirmation, but the number is direct to OYO. No one from OYO answering the call. When i check in, yes, the room I book for RM89 per night doesn't have toilet inside, need to share with the rest of customer that staying at ground floor. The person next door is women, how can she or me want to share toilet? I ask the person at counter to change my room to upper floor, since he said upper floor room do have toilet inside. He said, its already book with OYO, if directly to hotel he can help.
