Fyna Motel — Hotel in Perlis

Location|It is available on Waze, so finding the motel should not be a problem||Parking|Ample parking space available at the front of the hotel||Check in|I booked thru Agoda. Check in was fast and straightforward. You do need to pay refundable deposit in cash though.||Facilities|Lift is available, so no worries to carry your luggage to the upper floor rooms||Coway water dispenser available for hot and cold filtered water. They do provide bottled water in the room as well||Clean towels are provided and changed on a daily basis.||Room|Stayed in room 2101 (family room). I must say I'm impressed by the cleanliness of this motel. Housekeeping team did a great job in keeping the rooms clean. Even with barefoot you can feel that the floor is clean. The fact that they wipe the bathroom floor bone dry while cleaning our room on second day left a big positive impression for me. ||The family room (2 double beds) that I stayed in is also disabled friendly because there is a handrail in the bathroom that is usually found in any disabled toilets.||No wardrobe available so if you want to keep you clothes crease free then bringing along some extra cloth hangers would be a good idea.||Air-condition function well in keeping the room cool. I was told that the hotel owner worked as air conditioner installer before, so he must know how to get things right in this area.||Mini fridge available which is functioning well in keeping your beverages cold. No safe deposit box available though, so you might want to keep your valuables accordingly when leaving the room.||Wifi is available and the speed is acceptable||Breakfast|The fact that the price per night also includes breakfast makes it value for money. I had a combination of nasi lemak/mee goreng on the 1st day and bihun goreng/nasi goreng on 2nd day. Other options are toast bread, boiled eggs, cereals, tradisional kuih and cut fruits. In terms of tastiness it is nothing to shout about but generally quite good.||Attentiveness of staff|I complained about broken hand bidet in the bathroom to the front reception before going out and upon returning the problem already fixed. We were in Perlis for a wedding and it seems other hotels were fully booked.

This motel is clean and quiet. Locates beside a paddy field which is calming and refrwshing for us from the concrete jungle. The motel occupy three shop lots and jave three floors.They have a lift and a common area on the ground floor woth tables and chair for you to dine or do some work.

Our room was clean.No weird bad smell. Furniture in good condition with some minor wear and tear. Toilet is clean and well ventilated with no weird smell.But its a wet type toilet which Malays are accustomed to but its very clean, not even weird grime of the walls and tiles despite the wet type toilet. They provide a kettle and some coffe but no small fridge. There is a flat screen tv on the wall with local channels but you can use jdmi cable and hook up to your computer and watch netflix if you want to.There is wifi but the signal if not strong . No issue for us since we have mobile prepaid plans with unlinited data.

We only wanted a place to stay and this motel axceeded our expectations.The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was better tha other full fledged hotels we stayed at.

I was impressed with this motel. For a motel, it was quite good. Eventhough it only have 2 floor, they have elevator. It’s small but still can fit 4 people with 2 large luggage bag. The receptionist is friendly and gave us great recommendation for nearby eateries. I saw there’s cafe inside the motel itself but haven’t had the chance to try it out. Will try it out in the future if I come here again. We booked Family room with 2 queen bed. The room itself is clean and spacious. There’s prayer mat provided. The bathroom is wheelchair friendly and they provided slippers for room and bathroom as well (I’m not sure if this is for family room only or for all room). I do wish they have some ventilation inside the bathroom. But other than that, it’s perfect. Spacious and clean room 👍🏻 Water pressure was a bit slow but still acceptable. Parking a bit limited. All in all, 5 star and I would definitely come again. I’m staying at level 2, internet was decent for me, aircond sound for my room is bearable.

PS: Before going here, please keep in mind that this is a Motel and not a Hotel. Lower your expectation. It is solely designed to give you a place to sleep. I’m giving this review with that...
