Hotel Ventura — Hotel in Perlis

I have stayed here 3 times and find this place to be one of the best budget hotel around Kangar. It's located in between Kangar (the capital) and Arau (the town where train station and royal palace is located) in a place called Jejawi. ||||The receptionist is friendly and helpful. On the most recent visit, the room I was assigned had a bad cigerratte odour, and when I went back with my door key to the next room, the housekeeping team is there ready to spray some air freshener in the room. Superb efficiency!||||The room is small and the panel that overlook the vast paddy field is also too small to really enjoy the magnificent view. It's clean none the less. Overall clean and simple hotel. Would rate it 3.5 stars rather than 4.||Checking in and out was fast and simple.||Size of the room was a bit cramp for 2 twin bed configuration. Not sure of the king size room as it was fully booked on the day I checked in.||Price wise - RM98 per night||No mini fridge or closet, only few hangers with a simple bar near the air conditioner.||Hot water available based on sharing per floor.||Cleanliness was good. However I noticed cigarette smell when entering the room. The staffs used freshener to clear the smell but due to insufficient time and limited ventilation, it stayed in the room. I visited during a short trip to Malaysia and Thailand. This hotel was recommended by friends living in the area, and it was a good choice. The rooms were spacious and very clean. I was only missing hot water on the tap in the bathroom as I like to shave with hot water. There is no fridge in the room, but hot and cold water is available from the dispenser in the corridor.
