Our recent stay at Hotel Seri Malaysia has been a complete nightmare, leaving us deeply disappointed and frustrated. Despite having two young children aged 2 and 4, the hotel failed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our family.

From the start, we were assigned a room without hot water, and the hotel staff informed us that a technician would only be available in the morning. In a futile attempt to resolve the issue, we were moved to another room, which had a broken and exposed lamp right above the bed. Also, the bedside lamps are placed directly above the pillow and could potentially cause accidents. This blatant disregard for customer safety is shocking and unacceptable.

When we brought this hazard to the attention of the hotel staff, their response was dismissive, suggesting that we handle the problem ourselves since there were no other available rooms. This lack of concern and professionalism is deeply concerning.

After enduring multiple room changes and hours of discomfort, we were finally given a room very late at night (2.10am) disrupting our plans for an early start the next day. Our vacation was completely ruined, and our children were exhausted and unable to settle down due to the poor facilities and management negligence.

We expect Hotel Seri Malaysia to take immediate action to rectify these issues and offer compensation for the distress caused. The hotel's indifference towards customer safety and well-being is inexcusable. We cannot recommend this hotel, especially for families with young children who prioritize...

Run-Down Hotel with Rude Staff and Broken Facilities

Hotel Seri Malaysia Perlis is rather run-down and not well maintained. I booked a family room through Agoda. Upon arrival, the hotel looked gloomy and lifeless, almost like a haunted place, with two receptionists, a man and a woman, sitting at the counter.

The receptionist gave me family room number 342. I went straight to the room and took a shower without checking the condition. While showering, I realized the water heater was not working. I tried calling using the room phone, but none of the extension numbers provided (0,1,2,3) worked. There was a dial tone, but nobody answered.

I then went down to the lobby to request a room change. At first, I was not allowed to change rooms. They claimed they needed to ask permission from the management. Very ridiculous—less than 45 minutes after check-in they were already making excuses. Only after I insisted several times did they finally agree to switch me to room 341.

This kind of arrogant and unhelpful attitude should not be practiced by hotel staff, as it can only harm the business. Because of this incident, I will never again stay at any Hotel Seri Malaysia. The name may sound ā€œSeriā€ (bright), but the service is like a school dormitory. The staff’s faces were sour, no smile at all. Dressed all in black, they looked more like caretakers of a...

From my humble honest review…The room is like a ghost playroom..u can heard all the boom boom bang wooden sound everywhere inside the room..like some kid throwing tantrum with toys..I mean not toys but a plank of wood…is not recommended for those who want a quiet night in peace. The ghost like to play in the room. The TV is depends on their mood.sometimes it work..sometimes is not.Keep calling the receptionist.NO ANSWER 🤬🤬keep calling the housekeeping NO ANSWER🤬..then u have to go down to reception to complain. In website..it stated queen room SOLD OUT.but when u are there. Not much people.not much car in parking lot.not much tourist..but it SOLD OUT.Whatever it is..we paying with honest hard earn money.not monopoly money🤬🤬If there is favoritsm..better build a hotel in deserted land..not in someone Royal land.I mean the Sultan Land. The good partThe housekeeper is good.always make our bed for 2 nights.the 3rd nights..I want private spaceThe breakfast buffet is good CheapppppppšŸ‘THE room service is good.love the Chicken ChopFriendly StaffExcept the ghost inside the room…Lucky me..I am religious n only scared to God but not ghost.Well, hope the hotel n TRIP work on it for the next future...

I’m afraid I don’t have a lot of positive things to say about this hotel. First up, it’s a nice looking hotel from the lobby area, very impressive. Once you get to the room it changes. Room - Lights are very dim, no amenities (like toothbrush etc), air conditioning was on hot until the middle of the night when it suddenly changed to absolute freezing!!! Rooms need some serious renovation, they are old. On the positive side, the shower was good and the water was hot. View - The view from the room was lovely. Can look out on the big mountain at the back, and the septic tank!!! Location - it’s a long way from anywhere. Make sure you have a car. (Good, big, car park by the way) Restaurant - we didn’t try it. The pictures of the food didn’t even look good so we weren’t prepared to eat there. Hotel bar - Ha ha….no such thing. Perlis seems to be a ā€œdryā€ state now, no beer available because….well, I’m not sure why. Not everyone is a muslim. Swimming pool - looked great but when I wanted to get in there were 5 or 6 guys in there with all their clothes on. Not sure why, but I don’t think that’s very hygienic. Staff - very nice and friendly.
