Ya, overall it was great. Because of great ambience and with good buddies. However, there is plenty of room for improvement. I am staying in Riverside 4E tent.

  1. Toilet wall shall be tiled
  2. Toilet with weird smell (although it was not strong) but I suspected the smell came from the floor outlet (trap). The foul smell came from the sanitary system which was not properly built. There was no gully trap or water retained to cut off the sanitary smell from the septic tank or sanitary system.
  3. The toilet door / entrance shall not be exposed / facing directly to the outside walkway. A shield / partition or wall shall be built outside to hide the toilet door.
  4. The toilet bowl (WC) was not properly installed. It was a bit shaky and not securely fixed.
  5. A exhaust or ventilation fan is recommended for the toilet so that it would not be stuffy inside the toilet.
  6. The trolley could be better if it was with cage.....so that the bags / luggage would be dropping of the trolley as we had to push along the undulating walkway. Along the walkway, there were certain areas cut off by small stones making it difficult to push the trolley. One or 2 areas of walkway also broken and need immediate repair.
  7. It was a great fun to do the tubing along the nice, clean and cooling stream just beside the glamping site. However, the only setback that there was a weird smell at certain parts of the stream which I suspected it was sanitary discharge from the glamping site, because it was like urine smell. I hope the management shall seriously look into this issue.
  8. The BBQ food was average and below my expectation (personal opinion). The sausage provided was only one piece person! OMG! RM25 per adult.
  9. The bonfire / campfire was nothing to shout about.....no performance or music...and only lasted for a short while only.......so, need to do something more interesting to make it a worthwhile activity for the guests.

The good points of the site :

  1. Clean and secure
  2. Tent condition acceptable to me. Although some may complain it is hot inside the tent. But for I dont come here to spend a lot of time inside the tent. Day time it is very hot inside. Night time during sleep, it is ok with 2 fans blowing at its max. It was cooling during night time on a good weather day. No rain at all during my 2D1N stay. The bed was ok to me. But I did feel the pillow was too high for me.
  3. Swimming pool a very nice and beautiful although it is not very large. Small kids will enjoy their time here.
  4. Facilities wise, it is ok to me. Stove and fridge were provided. You could bring your own food to cook your own meals.
  5. Even though, almost full house, I didnt feel it was crowded. So, you really could enjoy your time without disturbance from other guests.
  6. Celcom coverage was good, however Maxis coverage was not so good.....Maxis users could only receive and send Whatsapp messages occasionally.

Conclusion : Will I come back? Well, it depends on how much I need to pay for my next trip and also who am I going to come with. Hope the...

Smooth process from booking on the website until the end of our stay. Regular email and whatsapp prompts on house rules and additional information. Check in at 2.30pm and latest check out at 12.30pm

Tent is clean, well maintained, everything ready as requested upon check in. A lil bit musty smell but not too significant. Private gazebo and toilet/shower next to tent, and hammock too. Both tent and gazebo equipped with lovely lighting hence night views are excellent. Toilet superbly clean and well maintained. Heater provided. For some: the mattress might be a bit too soft (OK for me, too soft for spouse)

Area is really nice, great for walking and basking in nature sounds, and well maintained. So many trees and plants. Stream/river is within walking distance (to some, just next to tent/unit). Would suggest to bring water shoes / wear suitable shoes when swimming at some areas as the rocks could make you wince (we wore our crocs, works better than barefoot). Rafts, swings and tubs (with fee) provided. Very clean and cooling water, suitable for kids as water is not deep at all. Pool is great as well.

A lot of common areas where you can store things in the fridge, microwave, use dining utensils and can cook as well - some basic cooking essentials provided. You can also eat here in larger groups

Highly recommend the BBQ set. Generous portion and so good (we got lots of chicken (of requested parts - they reminded this is subject to availability but still got them- thank youuu!!) , fish, hotdogs, corns, chinese fried rice, one jug of sirap, fruits, potato salad and sos pencicah). They will collect BBQ set the next morning hence you can enjoy BBQ all night long

Breakfast set: served promptly around 7.30am ish perhaps - our nasi lemak wasnt cooked enough, hopefully can be improved. Enjoyed the rest though (kettle and toaster provided during breakfast)

No line coverage for most telcos, but wifi is provided

Overall highly recommended for everyone including babies and elderlies as cemented walkway provided. I like that this is strictly non-vaping & non-smoking area and quiet hours are implemented later at night so everyone can enjoy their night. Caretaker responds well and fast as well.

Additional notes: Our gardenia bread outside of the tent was eaten by someone presumably monkeys. Didnt see any monkeys though Bring mosquito repellant as additional protection On hot season, recommended to take the aircond too We got lost towards approaching venue as our waze acted up / no line. Suggest for more direction boards to...

This place is average at best.

The staff aren’t rude but they’re also not friendly nor welcoming. Seems like they’re only there to do their job, and not to be hospitable or greet you (even when you just arrived). You’d see some of them relaxing at the public areas and at night, they’ll serve you in their pyjamas or normal clothes. Overall, service isn’t extremely bad, but not what you’d expect for a glamping destination.

We pay an average of RM 164/pax/night with breakfast and bbq dinner while towels are rented for RM2/each. The bbq dinner included chicken, fish, corns, and sausages. They also provided fried rice and potato salad on the side. The food is good and portions are generous, it could feed up to 7 people. Breakfast is nasi lemak, kuih, bread and coffee.

However, before we arrived we were told that the staff would bbq the dinner for us. After waiting for someone to come and set up, we enquired and were told that they wont do it ‘cos our group has less than 6 pax. It was frustrating as it was already late and we only started bbq-ing at 8pm because of their miscommunication.

The river is the highlight of this place. Water is very refreshing and they have bamboo rafts for visitors to use. The pool is also well-maintained, despite being smaller than expected. Both kids and adults would enjoy both the river and the pool.

The place is also littered with bugs, ants, flies and mosquitoes so pack along your insect repellent. Bugs won’t go into the tent as long as you keep it closed at all times. In the morning, you may find the washroom covered in bugs, so you may need to wash them all off before you could start using it. Washroom comes with body wash, shampoo and hand wash.

They did a good job with the tent as it is very comfortable. It comes with portable AC + standing fans. We all had a good night sleep...

We stayed at Dusun Bonda for one night during the week, and it was a memorable experience. The first thing that struck us was the beautiful and serene location. Nestled in a fruit orchard by a tranquil river, the natural setting is absolutely stunning. It's the perfect spot for a peaceful retreat, especially for families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature. The site is incredibly family-friendly. The children in our group of families loved the amenities, particularly the playground, man-made pool, and the opportunity to play in the river. It’s a fantastic destination for families with young children, offering plenty of activities to keep them entertained. We opted for one of the premium glamping tent, which included a private bathroom. The tent was very comfortable, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing too many comforts. The air conditioning, available for an additional fee, was a welcome relief in the tropical climate. The facilities were well-maintained, with clean bathrooms and well-kept shared spaces like the kitchen and dining areas. In the evening, we enjoyed a great barbecue, with food provided, prepared, and grilled by the Dusun Bonda staff—a highlight of our stay. On the downside, it's important to note that you need to bring your own towels or rent them on-site, which might be a minor inconvenience for some. Overall, Dusun Bonda offers a wonderful glamping experience in a beautiful setting. It’s perfect for families, though it may not fully meet the expectations of those looking for more privacy or luxury.

Definitely 5/5!! Best glamping experience so far!! We had our family trip here for 2days, 1 night. We went for jungle trekking before we checked in (thank you Dusun Bonda for allowing us to do that since it will be rushing for us if we do it on the second day) So, the resort owner who we called Atok brought us for jungle trekking. Mind yourself this is not jungle trekking kids friendly like they told us. We brought our 5years old kid and it was quite challenging for us. Also, it is advisable to wear proper shoes, it is fine your shoes to get wet as we need to cross the rivers. But the trekking was totally worthy since we had chance to see the Ulu Tamu waterfall. It was so magnificent and nice waterfall. Then we went back to the resort (around 12pm), we started about 9.30am. We can wait at their main hall before check in at 2.30pm. There, we can bring our own food and they have all the cutleries , we can enjoy eating by the river. For the tent itself, it was so nice and spacious. Toilet just nearby beside our tent. Dining area also just steps away from our tent. Sooooo nice and convenient. Plus point, they have beautiful swimming pool. The breakfast also superb! They even provided us with toaster and water heater. Though they have shared kitchen facility which they have coway water dispenser, fridge , microwave, etc. sooo convenient! Overall, 5/5! The only thing is it would be good if Dusun Bonda can allow us early check in since the tent is ready anyway but we still had to wait till 2.30pm. Thanks Dusun Bonda for having us, definitely will come again!

dusun bonda is a studio villa and glamping site near the river in Selangor which is an hour drive from KL. They offer 2 studio villas with ensuite as well as a big well equipped kitchen to share between the 2 villas. If you want to get back into nature, then opt to sleep in their bell tents (although can be super hot, there is a portable AC) there are about 6 tents on site that can accommodate 6 pax per tent. Each tent has its own toilet and shower but it's not connected. The activities on offer are: Bamboo water rafting River swing River tubing Pool and toddler pool Kids playground and swing Bonfire after 9pm Jungle trekking (additional cost) Your stay will include a traditional Malaysian breakfast and should you request dinner, they can cook a BBQ dinner for you at an additional cost. Dusun bonda is very clean, we stayed in the studio villa as we needed our private walk in ensuite and cooler AC. It's close enough to KL but it feels as though you're transported into the rainforest jungle. Highly recommend taking their jungle trekking too if you're keen on exploring more about the rainforest! We also did ATV through a private booking, search for Dusun Ayah Heritage for ATV rides at RM90 for 45 mins per bike. This is highly recommended as they'll take you through the river, mud and around the kampung villages.
