This place is really nice and perfect. The rooms are modern and new with comfy beds and own Bathroom. Everyone is allowed to use one of the two kitchens and fridges. There is hot and cold drinking water. A rice cooker, microwave, washingmachine and iron are also available. There is a couch to hang out and an outside space. Free parking is available. The owner Nurul is the best host we had so far. She is answering within minutes and gives you so much information. The wifi is perfect for working online. We booked two times because we liked it here a lot. She also has Driving service and more available. Close to the accommodation in walking distance are restaurants and supermarkets. For the location, this guesthouse is simply superb. It is a short drive to Bukit Kelaung hiking trail and beach. The room, we stayed in No.9, has 2 large windows looking out to the kampung houses with free roaming chooks. The homey vibe in a Malay village environment is quiet and peaceful. The room and bedlinen is very clean, the pillow don’t smell. The bed is firm and comfortable. There’s even a hair dryer.

The kitchenette is well equipped with a kettle, microwave and fridge. The iron and ironing board is provided, so is a washing machine.

This is a great affordable place to stay and explore the surrounding area. Across the road, you will find the KopiThor espresso van, good coffee and fruit stall.

And yes, the host Kak Nurul is super helpful to give the best recommendation on what to do and where to eat in Besut and beyond.

We stayed at Besut Guesthouse for one night before heading to the Perhentian Islands the next day. The rooms were clean and perfect for a short stay. The self-check-in process was straightforward, with clear instructions provided via WhatsApp in advance. Communication with the owner, Nurul, was excellent—she responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. She even arranged our boat tickets and kindly drove us to the pier the next morning. We arrived in the evening, and the guesthouse was a bit tricky to find due to the poor lighting in the area. However, there's a 7-Eleven within walking distance, which was convenient.
