IZ Village Resort — Hotel in Terengganu

When I first arrived and saw the flower covered exterior, it looked very promising and inviting, but once we entered, we realized that the inside is very unclean and filled with dead insects spread across the room and beds. There is an ant nest inside the toilet flushing reservoir, so every time the toilet is flushed, a load living insects are flushed directly into the toilet bowl in clumps and you can watch them drown and can't get rid of them. Because every time you flush more and more come out. The towels are covered in brown stains and the bathroom drain is clogged with mud, dirt and sticks.

This is a place to just sleep before taking an early ferry up to the Perhentian's. I got a free shuttle service to the jetty early morning. I got to the hotel very late because my flight left with a big delay from Penang, so when I got there I could only buy a bottle of water from the reception as there are no options for restaurants, etc so make sure you bring some food with you if you are getting late to the hotel. You get what you pay for accommodations.. Basic motel style hotel with the bare minimum.. The rooms are clean but cats are plentiful around.. Do be careful where you step.. Stay on the walkways to avoid the cat poo on the grass sands... There was no hot water shower in our room.. Again, you get what you pay for.. The customer service staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful.. Favourite stop for budget...
