Nazri's Place 2 — Hotel in Tioman

I ordered chicken and chips for my son, but the chicken was completely raw on the inside. I immediately informed a staff member, and she asked me to wait. I assumed she would bring a fresh, properly cooked piece, but instead she returned with the same piece of chicken and told me it was now "okay." It still looked undercooked and unappetizing, so I didn’t allow my son to continue eating it especially since we had to fly the next day and couldn’t risk food poisoning.||||At the checkout, I mentioned several times that the chicken was really not acceptable. The only response I got was a repeated “sorry, sorry.” I paid for chicken and chips, and I expect to receive properly cooked food, not raw meat.||||I understand mistakes can happen but the way it was handled was poor. Booked a fan room as part of diving package. Has been told that the room is basic (no safe, no fridge, no WiFi, no TV) but still did not expect the followings:||a) Wall and roof heat insulation very poor. Room is an oven in the afternoon and early evening. Must get a air-con room.||b) Floor has large gaps. Heat therefore raise from ground to room||c) Toilet door has no handle and lock. Need to use a string to pull door close||d) Toilet is dirty. Lots of hair at floor traps, left over soap from previous occupier||e) Toilet seat has molds and dirty||f) No housekeeping. Room dirty and furnitures old||g) Pillows yellowish and stained||In brief, you pay what you get. Tioman has changed so much since I first went there 42 years ago. Nazri’s place has also evolved. Nazri’s Place 2 is the second establishment of the ‘bad boy’ of Tioman, Nazri. This place has a bar, opens 6pm - midnight if there is beer in stock. The in-house restaurant ‘Hijau’ (green) serves great Malay food but you have got to wait. Prepare to wait an hour as per Tioman in the old days. You need to get one of the employees mobile number to book this place. The reception is never manned which is reminiscent of an era gone pass.
