Stayed there one night with my family.|On paper, it looks like a good bargain. Nice pictures of a comfortable, affordable and lovely hotel. Reality is quite different!|Yes, the island is lovely, with luxurious vegetation and beautiful reef full of marine life, but that is it! All the rest is terrible!|It looks like an old, crumbling place. All equipements are dirty and damaged. Food and service is average at best.|We arrived late (around 22:30) due to the late arrival of our flight. They were advised as you need to take a speed boat (40 min). And when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant (only one) was closed. No room service available, no snacks to eat at the bar, NOTHING! They had only prepared a disgusting tuna sandwich and some fruits for us… At least advise your guests and they can eat something at the airport before coming!!! As a general rule, the food we had (breakfast and lunch buffets) was average to bad. And go early as the food disapears quickly and you may struggle to get some more!|The island itself is quite nice. Luxurious vegetation, nice beaches, beautiful and plenty marine life to watch while snorkling. But don’t you dare going to the middle of it (« staff only », no wonder why!!!) as I did, getting a bit lost on the tracks. It is basically a giant junkyard with all sort of stuff (from old boats to anything else, containers, fridges, cut vegetation… A SHOCK!!!).|Buildings are old and dirty, left to crumble it seems. Rooms are dirty too (our had a big water leak that nobody seemed to care about eventhough we reported it various times!). Bathroom was filthy, really dirty! Toilet old and broken, shower was not practicle at all (you basically end up spraying water all around, no matter how hard you try not to…). Uncomfortable beds (HORRIBLY hard pillows!). The fridge was litteraly covered by mold!!! DISGUSTING! the slidding door gets hardly stuck each time you open it… And it goes on for every piece of equipement! Needs maintenance or simply replacement URGENTLY!|Same goes with snorkeling gears, beach chairs (most filthy dirty and broken!). Internet is average at best…|In other words, all the manmade stuff is obsolete, dirty, barely working and need serious maintenance if not just replacement…|Now the price…|It is a rather cheap place stay (which looked as a good bargain for a single night!), but there are a lots of hidden costs.|First the speed boat, MANDATORY. Almost 200$ per person (more expensive than the room!!! What a joke!). Why not include it if it is mandatory?! You pay for the water!!! I mean, I know all is imported in Maldives, but pay for the water (when the juices at breakfast are included for exemple!), REALLY???|All activities are quite expensive with poor quality material.|We finally ran away after lunch…|AVOID until they refurbish...

As this resort is closing in November to be redeveloped this review will soon be out of date. Such a shame as Biyadhoo is a lovely island. One of the few remaining resorts in the style we like and still affordable. The rooms are old and a bit shabby but all the staff do a brilliant job maintaining them and all the other areas. The island itself is very lush so do bring insect repellent as mosquitoes are widespread. ||||We booked all inclusive; breakfast, lunch and dinner all served buffet style in the main, air conditioned restaurant. There was always a good choice including vegetarian options. Most drinks are part of the deal including two small bottles of water each day in your room but you do pay extra for branded spirits, some cocktails etc. The resort does offer beach barbecues, romantic dinners and such at extra cost but these are not pushed at every opportunity.||||Our main reason for going was scuba diving. Thank you to Rosa and Mau at Coco Diving for some really memorable dives and thank you to the mantas for turning up, what a show! The resort is close to some great dive sites so you can get there early before the other boats show up. 11 dives, including a night dive cost just over £1300.00 for the both of us, inclusive of boat fees and taxes.||||If you are booked to go to Biyadhoo before it closes we're sure you will enjoy the simplicity and peace it offers. Not everyone wants a plasma tv, infinity pools, underwater spas or personal butlers. Sadly it seems more and more resorts are heading this way, taking away the leave your worries behind ethos and moving the Maldives out of our, and many other people's, price range.||||So for some good diving, a great beach and a simple island getaway book Biyadhoo while you still can. Can't beat a G&T while watching the sunset through the...

Place and atmosphere is too good ......we faced problem by the behaviour of waiter in restaurant. We belong to Jain religion who are strict than vegitarian....before visiting this place we received assurance will be provided a pure Jain Food ...i don't have any complain regarding Chef as he tried his best but was not able to fulfill our needs.....but waiter of the restaurant said why are you travelling in MUSLIM country ? This words touched my heart. When I tried to argue with him we travelled on your head assurance regarding food. When Restaurants Chef doesn't have any problem in making our food why is he having problem to serve us. I ask chef to make spicy but it was extremely spicy on request they tried to reduce spicyness but it was very spicy still....when we didn't had that their once again gave taunt this is buffet restaurant.....so many times you are making orders next morning same waiter gave us again a taunt that why are you travelling in MUSLIM country ? After hearing this we just leaved on fruit whatever food was made for us.....we can't even complain anything if there is something wrong .....on asking roti they ask us to take roti which was used for chicken roti. No service for pure vegetarians. On many varieties they don't even put tag wether this food is veg or non veg....on questioning none of the waiters have idea about veg or non veg.

I spoiled my holiday's by facing this issue in resort and i won't suggest any VEGETERIANS to visit it....

I don't want to write this review as many other staff provided us good service. Like their welcome girl was very good and Chef response was also good.

Room interior is extremely old and bathroom is also too old & room service was not so good not so bad.

We have visited more expensive places in the Maldives, over water villas, beach bungalows, but we come back to Biyadhoo. The reef is the best we have seen anywhere. So it comes down to what are you looking for in your holiday. 5 star luxury….Biyadhoo is not for you. If however you want to see Turtels, Rays, Reef Sharks and every possible tropical fish by walking into the water then this is the place for you. Food is good , lots of it. Staff are as always remarkably friendly. Very chilled no shoes bar scene. We love it, and it is only 30-40 mins for, the airport for boat transfers. ( it makes arriving and leaving a lot less hassle). The rooms are basic , but have air con , en-suite so what more do we need. ? It’s just a place to sleep after all. The rooms on the west beach are better, just seem better condition but all the same specification. However if the wind gets up….you are on the equator so this can happen…. The east side of the island provides very quiet beaches , good shade and approx 30m of shallow water to reach the underwater reef wall where the most colourful fish…and sharks……live. All very safe as they are mainly reef sharks. Go all inclusive. For great value. Bar, snorkelling and fishing trips, and snorkelling gear included. It’s where we chose to spend our hard earned money.

Reachable by boat in 45', which is convenient in case your flight arrives at night or gets delayed. Staff was super friendly all the time. The all inclusive option had a limited but accommodating range of options to choose from and the buffet was not a big deal but changed every day and food was tasty. The all inclusive package also includes two excursions but we could not take any because of schedule restrictions. We took the snorkeling excursion for 30 USD and it was definitely worth it. Snorkeling here can go from super easy on the island, touching the ground but still watching the astonishing corals and you can also go past the reef, outside the island and watch some more serious fauna. This is a great plus as you can snorkel any time without depending on tours. I took my own snorkeling equipment but you can borrow the full set there for free. There are options for vegetarians, take credit card, internet works reasonably and the place is simply stunning.
